Am I the only one who's absolutely tired of the obsession over the "Surprise bitch" line? It's like...we've all seen/heard this on soaps like 80 times. The delivery wasn't even delicious.

 

I hated S2. It was just too dark for me and none of the characters besides maybe Kit were appealing

 

And yet I loved Season 2 (though I am completely with you about this year, good and bad...)

I loved season 2. It was the most cohesive of the 3 so far.

S2 just seemed like an exercise of "how low can we go before the FCC steps in". I just couldn't take it.

So the witch hunter kills the black people and LaLaurie suddenly cares about the "darkies." Murphy has serious issues about race/ethnicity.

His issue is that he sees race through the eyes of privilege. The fact that he played "Oh Freedom" to symbolize a white man breaking free from a situation (of his own making) by massacring innocent black people shows the parallels he is trying to draw between Hanks situation and slavery/oppression. In the eyes of privilege, this makes complete sense.

The scene at the salon just struck me as another generic ironic scenes, where something terrible is happening but the music is the opposite of the mood.

Nope, I'm baffled and tired by the obsession as well. The delivery of the line doesn't warrent the obsession.

I know I should expect it but I hate how episodes leave complete characters out or don't explain how revelations are made.

Where was zombie boy now that he can talk? I guess Precious couldn't survive the bullet to her head? Works for me.

Last night had so many good zingers.

I think the hiatus hurt this show. It lost the momentum it was building. I couldn't find myself getting invested in it as I was last year

Stevie Nicks' appearance felt so random.

Queenie ate a bullet in order to kill the witch hunter, Cordelia's husband. Still not sure why she didn't survive because she hurt herself all the time to wound others.

Love Stevie Nicks but I don't get her appearance either. To get on Misty's good side?

The entire eppy was a huge WTF and a terrible way to return from hiatus

P.s. the witch hunter went to Marie's shop and shot up the place. Killed almost everyone. The only way Q could stop him was to shoot herself. Now that I think about it, perhaps Q died from being shot. She was hit before killing him.

I thought all that layer of fat protected her. Did they make mention of her being dead? It seemed odd that it wasn't more of a big deal if that's what actually happened

They didn't say she was dead. Madison mentioned they hadn't found all the bodies and one of the girls asked if they wanted to go to the morgue and they said no.

I suspect we'll find out what happened to Queenie in the next week's episode.

When I started to watch this episode I realized that I had completely forgotten everything that happened in the last one. This show is so random and all over the place that I retain none of it.
