I was like WTF with that voodoo god or whatever he was. They introduced these big plot points/characters with no buildup. Completely shifted the vibe/tone from the last episode. I thought I had missed something bc Fiona and Marie so civil with each other and bonding seemed so off to me bc I didn't recall how they got to that place

I forgot all about Delphine. What is the point of her? LOL at her being Benadryl. Oh stupid witch.

Queenie's attitude was stank! Where does she get off being such a bitch to Cordelia? That was all uncalled for. Girl, bye

I don't get how Cordelia stabbing her eyes out of her eyes helps the coven

I have to admit that scene of Marie and Fiona teaming up to have that board slaughtered was badass

Has anyone inquired about what happened to Swamp Witch?

What a lame ending to the episode

Cordelia is the WORST teacher in the WORLD. 3 of her students have DIED. And she hasn't taught them sh!t!

Fiona and Marie L. are the BEST, I just love when Angela Bassett and Jessica Lange are on screen together, their rapport is amazing.

Of course, Fiona is not dead. Either she put a spell on the Ax Man or he sacrificed himself to fool Cordelia. Once the Supreme is revealed, Fiona will pop up and kill them all that way Cordelia's vision will come true. However, I noticed that Nan is missing among the dead in Cordelia's vision. I wonder if she will come back to life and kill Fiona.

Marie and LaLaurie's experiences of hell are fitting for both of them.

Oh, I quite enjoyed Misty beating the crap out of Madison.

I cant take the torture scenes on this show. I have to turn away. Ditto for Cordelia's eyes. Can they please put some glasses on her?

This show makes little sense to me. I watch and get confused everytime

So I wasn't the only one thinking that. This show is so predictable.

This season has been DREADFUL. I can't believe many critics (and people on my facebook) seem to think it's the best season ever. Just utter crap. Of course now we have confirmation Tim Minear WAS the show runner for Asylum because Murphy and Falchuk were too busy, but was demoted thisyear which makes some sort of sense.

The AV Critic said every single thing I was going to say (and have said over, randomly enough, on a theatre forum where everyone seemed to agree.) http://www.avclub.com/review/go-to-hell-107108

But these two quotes kinda sum it up:

Asylum felt like being driven along a mountain road in a blizzard by a drunk driver who miraculously avoided every single moose that kept leaping out in front of him. Coven is like that same drunk driver going 15 miles per hour down a sleepy suburban street and hitting every mailbox he sees. I cannot wait for American Horror Story, season four, “Probably About Aliens Or Werewolves And Also Communism Or Something.”

  • to illustrate the problems with the season, let’s take on LaLaurie’s character arc: Historical serial killer. Made immortal and buried beneath the Earth for centuries. Dug up by Fiona. Made a maid for some reason. Daughter resurrected as a zombie. (Actually, up until this point, it sort of works.) Becomes sympathetic to Queenie. Sold out by Queenie. Becomes an animated head. Goes back to being a serial killer after being reassembled. Takes over her former home. Made mortal again and killed. There’s nothing even approaching a coherent throughline there, and you can extend that to everybody else on the show.
  • At least Kathy Bates seems to be having fun, right? Lance Reddick, too. He’s having the time of his life, and who can blame him? And Lily Rabe is really good at stage combat, so that’s something!

That's not ALL people want to see but it's certainly the best part of the show because they're so damn good at it.

Of all things to complain about this show it's not them. This show makes NO sense and this is NOT the best season but it's been a lot of fun. I'd rather not take it that seriously.

I must say I'm relieved that there was no attempt to redeem LaLaurie (they made it seem like they were going to but they didn't and good on them). I wouldn't have been able to handle it.

The only thing complaint I really have is that there is no sense of urgency. I swear Fiona has wanted to kill the next Supreme since episode 3. Why didn't she just DO it? That seems to be the theme of this season, someone wants to kill someone else but let me sit on my ass for the next 3 episodes talking about it.

It's not better than S1 but I define toy enjoy this more than S2 for sure

to be fair, she thought she did, when she killed Madison. Her issue is that she has no idea who the next Supreme is. Killing people on this show doesn't seem to work as they keep getting resurrected

    • Wow, they really wasted Lucky in this latest return. How could they botch it up like that? And I really hate what they've done with Nina. So she's going to betray the one person who's done nothing but be kind and loving to her after having moved past the fact that she pretended to be her long lost daughter for someone who isn't even worth it at this point? There is really no coming back for Nina, is there? I honestly won't be surprised if both Sasha and Willow end up disowning Nina and cutting her out of their lives for good. And Nina is going to be even more of a pariah and social outcast than she already is.  Honestly, if the writers are going to make the entire town hate Nina, they might as well make her a full blown villain at this point and have her actually own it. Maybe losing Willow and the kids forever might finally prompt Nina to embrace her dark side and go full steam ahead with her villain era. At least make her the kind of villain people can get behind and enjoy, not... whatever this is.  On the other hand, Willow delivering Sasha's kid in court is actually an interesting twist. Wonder what Sasha is going to name her daughter now?
    • Someone needs to help me stop laughing because I've been crying from laughter in the past half an hour. My husband came to check if I'm okay. I'm more than okay. Is it Christmas already?

    • I can't imagine it was a shock to any of the actors, especially one so industry savy as Zimmer. However, it must have been like all of us, watching a loved one fading away and knowing it was going to happen but still being shocked when it does. Wheeler is to blame for waiting so long for that Hail Mary pass to be thrown. Its funny but this was the time that the writing seem to be getting better so someone fixed that, but why didnt it happen sooner? Again, at least the GL I saw go off the air, despite looking like it was filmed in my backyard, was the GL I knew with the right characters coming back and the right things happening. Unlike ATWT.....
    • This is a guess, but Kat is going to mess around and help get Leslie off on a technicality. She is too determined to go around the law. Sharon is so entertaining. The way she acted like Anita was about to trip her down or something at the end was hilarious. The silence from Tracy and Sharon when Anita called them out for not backing Barbara out was telling. They can't defend themselves because they were just as hungry for success as Anita was.
    • I am sure it was not what JJ thought was going to happen with Lucky or Lucky/Liz and I don't think JJ will ever be back.  That was just an awful return and his return in 2010 wasn't anything great lol.

    • I don't think this is anything but a pause. I think there's a lot more of Liz/Lucky coming up ahead. Think of it as a classic fakeout.  Edit to ADD: Well, crap. Ignore me. Outta there.
    • Now she used to be on the Directing rotation, so is this when she was off of it for awhile & now is back?

    • A Day Off from the Drama Felt Like a Breath of Fresh Air Honestly, I didn’t mind the change of pace today. The episode had a lighter tone, and it was refreshing—like coming up for air after all the intensity lately.  But, did anyone else notice that Bo's hospital room is larger than Marlena's living room? Chad and Leo: A Surprisingly Enjoyable Pairing I actually enjoy Leo in scenes with Chad. It's a shame Chad hasn't been given more lighthearted material before—he’s much funnier than I expected. At least we were spared the referenced Ari/Leo interaction (dodged that bullet). Gabi’s Hair: A Curl Too Far Let’s talk about Gabi’s hair. Those curtain curly-q bangs? Ridiculous. Not only unattractive but completely impractical. And if she doesn’t like living with Leo, then… move out. Yes, it’s Rafe’s house, but she’s the CEO and titular head of GabiChic. If Chanel and Johnny can afford rent, I’m sure Gabi could swing Li Shin’s old place (they've probably painted since Gabi found him dead, and Melinda was held hostage there). Rafe and the FBI: Why Though? I still don’t understand the narrative function of Rafe suddenly working for the FBI—unless it’s to explain why he’s perpetually off-screen. Side note: Has anyone told Elon’s team that the Bureau is hiring middle-aged men who talk to stuffed animals and are apparently set to retire with full pensions in less than a decade? Doug3 and the Mystery of the Necklace Now, Doug3 is suddenly concerned about the age of consent? Not touching that. Also—whatever happened to his friendship with Sofia? And how did he manage to find a loan shark when he only hangs out with high school girls?  How much could he have borrowed?  He changed his name and moved out of town, so he must owe enough for the loan shark to hire repo men to find him and photograph underage women. But the real head-scratcher: why is he asking Leo who bought the necklace? It’s Melinda. He knows it’s Melinda. Was this filmed out of order? Or did she fence it? I’m confused. Gwen Mention #1 (And we all know what happens when you say her name three times…) Cat: The Kookiness Has Worn Thin I’ve tried. Really. But I don’t like Cat. I don’t like her secret. I don’t like that she’s never at work covering Marlena’s phones. I don’t like her brand of kooky. I don’t like that she stopped blow-drying her hair. Honestly, I never invested much in her character because I figured she’d be gone by now. But now? I just don’t like her.
    • I'm actually stunned at the writing for Liz and Lucky today. It feels like a writing team that's out to make JJ look as bad as possible -- immature, irresponsible, and ridiculous. He comes off as a complete loser.
