Like what? You mean them talking about Zach non stop 99% of the time, or Kendall being so caught up in her grief, she didn't want anyone to touch her? wink.png

Actually that was not all there was between Kendall and Griff. Throughout Kendall's grief over Zach Griffin was there for her and they developed a close bond. Griffin touched Kendall all the time. And I don't recall them talking about Zach ALL the time. There were so many nice moments between them that had nothing to do with Zach. Once Griffin and Kendall finally became a real couple, which, as JV said, was unfortunately short lived, Kendall had finally seemed to get past Zach and was ready to move on. To bad they were doomed from the start because TK/Zach was already pitched to come back to escort Kendall off the show. I think the ONLY reason why Kendall still frequently talked about Zach and lulled over his pictures and whatnot while her & Griff were together was because of Zach's impending godly rise from the ocean.

Bottom line, I don't agree Kendall & Griff were all about Zach. Of course he was apart of their relationship since Kendall was grieving over him but he was not in the center of it and the writers actually created something good, that could've worked, between Kendall and Griff. If AMC hadn't been canceled I firmly believe they would've went full steam ahead with them and Zach wouldn't have been brought back.

I think Cara's the future of that show, particularly if RB and AM don't re-up. They need to lock her down.

I also really like Griffin. I wanted Griffin and Kendall despite the hard sell writing-wise.

You've said this before and ITA. I think Lindsay has the whole package and would make a great lead actress for the show. She seems like she'll stay and I hope she does.

And totally agreed about Griff

At least LH felt bad for the cast & crew, JV is too caught up in his self and his wah to give anyone else a second thought closedeyes.jpg

So, you are aware of his personal feelings? You personally know that he doesnt care at all about the crew? Could you share how?

And no, it not being mentioned in an interview is not knowledge of that. Perhaps he said it and it didnt fit/was cut/etc. Happens all the time.

I get that you hate the character, but you seem to harbor some deep rooted personal hatred of JV and i am honestly curious as to the reason.

I honestly don't get the constant whining & complaining from JV & LH & they both come across as newbies who has no idea how soaps function.

It truly does come across that for them the worst part about the cancellation was that it interferred with their storylines.

+1 and thank you for saying it!

That's a nice interview. I do feel for them. You get a new job, you're all excited about it, the management tells you about all the great plans they have for you and all the wonderful things you'll get to do. You just start learning your way around and get comfortable enough with your new coworkers to start swearing in front of them (my personal goalpost) then all of a sudden, the company files bankruptcy, lays everybody off and you find out the new owners would be happy to keep you on if you feel like transferring to the office in West Virginia.

I'm indifferent to JV, although he certainly seems nice enough not at all like the sociopath he's described as upthread, but I will say that I've become a fan of LH. I didn't watch Passions so this was my first exposure to her and I just love her.

When I read the part about wanting to appeal to the Hispanic demographic, I thought back to that whiny little article from Sara Saedi about how they tried everything, even bringing on Latinos to get the telanovela audience. I'll be curious to see whether PP shows any interest in developing minority audiences for these shows.

They will. AMC 2.0 will introduce an Indian family right off the bat. [DeeeDee]Watch.[/DeeeDee]

I can just picture that meeting.

Exec. 1: "You know how much Indians LOVE the internet. Why else do so many of them work in tech support?"

Exec 2: "Smashing good idea, Jenkins! Somebody get Kal Penn on the phone!"

They'll also take a page from Tyler Perry's book and introduce an African-American clan headed by a big, loud-mouthed, gun-toting matriarch (in a bad wig) and a fat, bald, imbecilic patriarch (of sorts) who dresses in clothes so cheap, even Goodwill doesn't want 'em.

Again, watch.

Speaking of which, I hope OLTL keeps Rama. I think she could make a great vixen/schemer. I think part of the problem these shows have had bringing in minorities is that viewers aren't that open to characters that aren't part of the main families. People immediately start with "why is this person on my show". Maybe that will change with the online versions.

I think the "why is this person on my show" is more online noise than anything. I think most viewers are pretty accepting to new characters family ties or not. Certainly being tied to a family gives a character more opportunity to connect more quickly but I think that online noise is mostly fangurls who feel their faves will get somehow pushed aside or sidelined for a "newbie".

As for Rama I hope they keep her. I don't think the actress is incredibly strong but she's likable, interacts well with the rest of the cast, and has nice screen presence. Not everyone needs to be Meryl Streep or Jodie Foster. I don't know that I need to see her as a vixen and schemer. OLTL is already filled with so many of that type.

Agree. It's the same as when fangurls and such complain that any given day on their show was "slow" and "boring" just because their faves weren't featured.
