Um, so we have that ever lengthy thread on classic Y&R articles and discussion, I was wondering if we could do one for B&B? I mean the whole show is a hot mess and has been well at least since 2007/2008 and unwatchable but I'd like to think back to when I loved the show 1991ish-2006. A lot of stories liked and/or remember well have now been long forgotten like Ivana's murder and the mystery around it, Macy vs. Karen, Connor(someone mentioned him recently!) Dylan and Michael, CJ/Becky, Sly, Grant. Hell Macy was my favorite character right after Sally of course.

2003 episodes have some very interesting variatons of the opening all the time. Bored opening editor had a feel day it seems :D It’s still looks and sounds good though.

But few things I wonder… why they decide to change the model pics in the beginning? Was it to avoid 80’s effect or did it had something to do with the copyrights? Also I always wondered what’s the actual points of short, middle and long openings. In 2003 there’s also very interesting editions of something where it starts like long one but it’s still shorter. Also some photo orders are bit interesting, messy or just strange. 🤪

Guys when you download from the vault does the files abort or fail a lot... If I try to download a whole month it always fails. I have to do it episode by episode which is very sloow. What browser are you using if you don't have that problem. Please help with information.

I have the same problem and I can't download a whole month too. I think it is, because the file is too big or whatever. So I take 4-6 files at once. After I download a few single files, I have to wait until I can continue.

Most of the time, downloads fail with Firefox - It depends on the file size. Never had a problem using Chrome for the bigger files.

Little contribution from my old tapes: episode from May 1999. I think it was good episode but I assume it gets deleted when we reach 1999 eppies. Still there you go 😁

Thanks! Figured out it's May 20, 1999! The fallout from Rick learning that Amber slept with Raymond.

They used the different length openings to either fill-in time or have more time for scenes. If they needed more airtime, they just used a short opening and vice versa.

From circa 1998, the opening would alternate between the mid (35 second) and longer (42 second) variation. A “bumper” 10 second opening debuted somewhere along the tracks, but I can’t remember exactly when (guessing circa 2000?).

Since ~2004/5 to now, they adopted a more consistent model where the episode length is the same for 4 out of 5 episodes in any given week. The 5th episode is always 40 seconds longer because it features the 70 second closing credits. The longer closing doesn’t always appear on the same day each week.

Definitely! Thank you so much. It’s like viewing the episodes for the first time with so good picture quality.
