Y&R ratings will be interesting did't Genie turn up on the friday.will they have a spike are not.

It seems alot of fans are blaming GF for the firing MW and the backburning for MTS.

The promo I saw for Genie Francis return made me not want to watch even more.

Soaps had big jumps last week which means a big drop off the following week.

Toups where was oltl in all of this? How much did it jump?

I think Toups is referring to last week's posted ratings.......meaning most soaps fell in the ratings that are about to be posted.

Yeah, DAYS stayed the same in Viewers but went down in other categories. Big fall for Y&R in Viewers but they went up in 18-49 Demos.

I am just curious. Has there been any noticeable improvements in OLTL and AMC since the cancellation announcements?

Also, does anyone think there is a way to bring the demos up substantially and consistantly anymore. I can see some shows

capable of bringing some viewers back but even when viewing numbers go up the demos seem to not move up substantially.

Although Y&R is a surprise. I wonder with Lane having so many younger fans if that storyline kicking in had any impact.

Ouch at Y&R on Friday. Only 4.2 million after ALL that promotion. Friday was a bad day for all soaps. I guess due to the beginning of Memorial Day weekend.

OLTL is the same show. I know they aired the scenes with RH's Todd earlier than planned, and a few scenes like Blair last week singing the OLTL 80's theme only to stop singing saying something like "this is too sad" a clear reference to the cancelation, other than that I don't see anything big that changed, although it may have been too late to make any significant changes to story for the May episodes rather than a lack of desire to make any adjustments, I suspect what we see now and into July is the begining of a transition to end-game planning, it may already have started on screen although I may just be missing it, as I have been watching and wondering "would that have happened if it wasnt being canceled" lol cause it does change everything knowing these stories will end.

I've seen some slight improvement in AMC. Or more accurately, I'm seeing a little more of what I like in AMC. I thought the doppleganger story would suck but I find it fun. I do get the feeling that some things are wrapping up faster than they would have and that's a good thing. I'm not saying the show is "on fire" but I'm watching and not fast forwarding as much.

its ok days fans...Ken Corday said it will be a better show in September so no need to watch till then lol
