May 5, 201114 yr Member This should be an interesting week of ratings. I can't wait to see if Days bounces back, and OLTL continues the upward trend in the ratings.
May 5, 201114 yr Member I hope OLTL holds steady and B&B falls under it. I am guessing the bump last week was from hearing about the cancellation, hopefully they stick around.
May 5, 201114 yr Member I thought last week was one of DAYS better weeks, so I'm looking forward to seeing where they stand. Edited May 5, 201114 yr by Ky_D
May 6, 201114 yr Member It's ironic that Brian Frons said ABC really wanted to find women 18-34 viewers in daytime during many of his interviews about the soap replacements, and now OLTL is beating GH in that particular demo. There is absolutely no way ABC will keep GH beyond Sept 2012 with these ratings. They're just not good enough. And in the meantime, look for major cast cuts on the doomed show.
May 6, 201114 yr Member Thanks for posting! Wow at B&B. I guess the evidence is clear again - people really care about Brooke. It was nice to see all the different family feuds, etc. put aside and everyone as all the primaries rallied to come together. An expected umbrella story that pulled in Nick and Bill in ways I wouldn't have guessed. I only hated the Brooke/Tom hallucinations, but whatever. The rest of it was quite well done.

Yup...GH is all but finished. I can hear Anne saying ...I told you Frons to cancel them all!!
May 6, 201114 yr Member As a whole, the 18 to 49 women demo is absolutely dreadful. Since last year, Y&R's demos have fallen and can't get back up. Horrible 18 to 49 women demo for GH, but most likely it is a random weekly fluctuation. However, it is a sign of things to come. Edited May 6, 201114 yr by Ann_SS
May 6, 201114 yr Member I'm shocked that a week devoted to a misogynist alcoholic who spends much of his time badmouthing women and kids didn't bring in the young demo. Y&R is wretched in every way - viewers were very patient and then they gave up.
May 8, 201114 yr Member Umm Sadness! Why is there only 8 posts in the ratings thread??? Are you guys giving up ratings tracking already?? How about a OLTL/AMC...& GH feud? Taylor Made..you out there?? Anybody. Come on it's DEPRESSING to only see 8 post here!! What have the soap killers done to us?
May 8, 201114 yr Member GH is AWFUL! I dropped the show bc its way too repetitive and boring. Not surprised to see the ratings take a hit
May 8, 201114 yr Member It is all futile now. Who cares. GH will be gone within 18 months anyway. AMC vs. OLTL? What is left to say. I hope OLTL will go out with some dignity and not in last place. That is all I ask. Y&R (the one soap that COULD be excellent) is absolute garbage but I will tune in to see Genie Francis. I am sure I will not last more than 2 days.
