She does indeed look fabulous (especially when you consider her battle with alcohol, which isn’t exactly a youth serum).

Been going down a Youtube rabbit hole of Erica/Kendall scenes lately... the way this relationship turned around and became one of the strongest mother/daughter relationships in all of daytime is why I could watch these kinds of scenes all day.

 

 

Taylor - played by the feisty, charismatic Ingrid Rogers - should’ve lasted longer.

I would’ve written the hell outta that character.

 

Was she fired (I know they had the recast) or did she leave??

If she was fired, I would like to know why.

That YouTube channel just dropped another Brooke/Erica video. This one is much better IMO.

 

The character of Anton never quite worked but there was something about this guy that got my hormones flowing.

For all the talk of AMC being in decline by that stage of McTavish's 92-95 tenure, I thought the storylines from that episode were all good - from fine (Not a fan of Julia but whatever) to outstanding (Janet return, Erica vs Kendall)

I read on the old usenet groups that it was AMC's choice to recast. I don't know how accurate they are, but that is what I read. Munecojim's channel use to have all of the first half of 1995 on YT, and it was clear they were shifting the direction of the character as a foil for the Noah/Julia story even toward the end of IR's run by making her more obsessive.

Truthfully, I am not sure McTavish really 100% got the character. It never made sense to me that Taylor went from this snooty, country club, daddy's girl type to being a cop. Although, her going undercover as a white woman to expose a white supremist group was an interesting story.

I do recall IR's run..she was fighting an attraction to Noah..but did have one scene where she was gleeful at Julia being jealous of her being around Noah.

 

I think the show's reason for recasting was to take the character in a new direction.  Wonder what that even means lol

Really? Her bio reads black Erica Kane lol. Should be a walk in the park to write for her. Why did Megan in ‘95, again?
