A break from the kidnapping… even though I like that it wasn’t completely forgotten about today.
I always enjoy scenes of Maggie with Sarah and Holly, even though I wasn’t a fan of all the talk about Holly possibly being pregnant. But I do like that Maggie and Sarah are being weaved into the whole Holly being drugged thing. It’s something at least, for this lousy storyline lol Sophia still needs to be written out.
Tate was a little goofy today though, especially after he found out about Holly’s “possible pregnancy” but I like that he wanted to be there for Holly and asked Ari for help. Btw, it sounds like Ari doesn’t like poor Aaron all that much 😂😂
EJ vs. Paulina was ok too, but in some ways it felt like they were trying to out-camp each other, especially in the beginning. The both of them could’ve used some more direction, IMO. EJ always works much better when he’s not so campy. As for his “relationship” with Cat, I admit, I kinda like the idea of the storyline but the characters themselves are the biggest problem here.
I had mixed feelings about Xander’s scenes today though. They started off really strong, with his therapy session with Marlena. Paul Telfer did a really good job again. I liked that Xander got to express how he’s been feeling about Sarah and how he thinks that she’s tied to his anger. But it seemed to fall apart a little bit once Xander started talking about his relationship with Gwen. Luckily, everything got good again when Xander came to Sarah’s rescue when Victoria got sick. I’m looking forward to seeing their storyline play out, and how they find their way back to each other. Btw, if they were gonna bring in an actual baby to play Victoria in the final scene, what was the point of Sarah pushing around that infant stroller throughout the episode? 😂😂
As for Gwen, her and Cat’s scenes were unnecessary. And with all their talk of Dimitri, we should’ve seen him 😉
