Re: Trent Garrett's comments about wrapping up as early as June, was it ever even reported that AMC would film until August or did I just imagine that? I can't find it in the official press release but I'm sure I remember seeing it somewhere.

I had to look up this Mario guy. After seeing who he is on Google, it just furthers my belief that The Chew will be an epic failure. I almost want to watch it to see how bad it is, but I won't.

I don't think I've EVER said this before on a message board, but I've always thought it....I was as annoyed by Shemar Moore screaming, "the streak is over," as I was by Julia Roberts' hanging all over Denzel Washington when he won his Oscar. It was as though Moore and Roberts wanted to bask in some of the limelight of someone else's big moment.

I would love to for both soaps to get a reprieve at least for a little while but that's just me being selfish. I can only imagine the logistical nightmare a last minute temporary reprieve would cause, not only for ABC heads, but for cast, crew, writers, etc. A few additional months doesn't seem worth the chaos. Once the ball is rolling to close up shop, there's no stopping it. By then most people have already made their future plans collectively and individually. Hell, most of the actors will likely be gearing up for pilot season.

While it sucks for AMC fans that the show is ending earlier than OLTL, for those who actually work on the show the timing just might be a blessing. Fortunately for them, they don't have to uproot themselves in order to go where most of the work is (and where the rest of the soaps are). And most of the cast are pretty young, so I don't worry about them. I'm sure SL, RB, AM, and CM will all pop up somewhere again. I feel most for those who work on OLTL in NY where lucrative acting opportunites are dwindling and tough decisions will have to be made. The cancellation news had to have hit them the hardest. After all, most everybody assumed OLTL was safe for at least a year or two. I wonder if I'm going to see any of these actors on-screen again, which saddens me greatly. As well all know, the bulk of OLTL talent belongs to the older generation.

I've never met Susan, but I was at the Emmys that year. Something I will NEVER EVER forget. Someday I will upload my pics from the nosebleed section. The most interesting part was watching the tape of it later because when you're there you're not really looking at the monitors, you're looking at itty bitty Susan standing up there on stage while you scream til you can taste blood. You don't see all the emotion that's on her face that you see on TV. And of course you don't catch things like Ingo bowing and Marj raisin' the roof.
