OLTL: Actor possible leaving?

Don't care. TSJ is a huge bore.

While I don't blame the phenomenal actor for bolting, I need to run to my therapist now because St. John makes One Life bearable for me solely because of his inspired acting choices.

This is seriously the most absurd thing I have ever read in my life. I know Nelson loves him some TSJ but he simply cannot be serious.

I love the concept of squatters rights but I still hope TSJ leaves. I've said ad nauseum that I believe soap actors who want to move on to other things need to leave soaps within four to six years. Eight years at the absolute outside. I truly believe that if TSJ re-signs for any significant amount of time he will end any chance he has of being taken seriously as an actor. IMO, staying at OLTL will destroy his career. He's lucky. As a white man, ABC is a good place for him but I don't want him to give in to complacency.

Look at RH. He's what? 38-39 years old and returning to the same job he had 15 years ago? Not the same company, the same job. It's not like he's a computer programmer returning to Microsoft. He's an actor with nowhere else to go. Not primetime. Not cable. Not theatre. It sucks because he started off doing the right thing. He left. He tried new things but Todd always followed him and, unfortunately, he kept coming back and that's what killed his career. Now he's a middle-aged guy with a kid, a wife and a girlfriend and bills to pay. I can't imagine what it's like for him to look in the mirror every day knowing that he's the soap equivalent of Vanilla Ice.

I don't want to see the same thing happen to another actor I love. TSJ needs to learn from RH's mistakes.

RH is 42. He's been gone for almost eight year. I say do a straight recast. Who cares? It's much better than some convoluted plastic surgery crap. Good grief, look at the mess DAYS had with the John Black/Romans (including having a well-liked character from the 1980s play Roman and then have the original Roman play yet another character). It's not worth the effort and just bogs down the storyline. RH plays off of all the key players on the team now. Personally, I've enjoyed TSJ's performances, but if he needs to move on, so be it.

I think the girl who plays "Dani" (who the hell is Dani?) confirmed online that RH is back.

is the old todd coming back to the show? im scared i love trevor! i dont want him to leave!

It's been confirmed. Trevor's job on OLTL isn't going to be harmed though. :)

Not sure if this account is real, but it seems to be.

That's definitely her but WHOA, I didn't see that post. That's a huge thing to let slip Missal! And I bet she doesn't know about Trevor's contract.

She had this post too, but it's gone from her page now:

I wanted you to clarify your response about RH and whether he was returning to OLTL, if you are willing and if you can.

He is!

And I agree that the account looks real.

I much prefer Roger's Todd to Trevor's. In fact, I haven't TRULY enjoyed Trevor's since the initial Walker/Todd storyline.

I love Trevor as Todd...RH was good, but it's whatever...As some have said just do a straight Todd recast and ignore the plastic surgery stuff because they're either going to have to go all weird and brain chippy with it or some random twin story probably with a brain chip still.

Sad to hear this, if it's true. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I really enjoy Trevor St. John on OLTL, he's a great actor. =/

The same way they explained Danielle's age: they'll make a joke of it.

Or the same way they explained how Rex (now born in 1983) is older than his previously-older sister Natalie. They won't say anything. We saw flashbacks of Nat and her baby brother Rex. We heard stories about Nat protecting her little brother from their abusive mom Roxy. But we're supposed to forget all that because the characters are too dumb to notice a major math error. Cole started out as a girl......

I don't think you're in the minority. I know that fangurls on each side will claim that they are the majority but I honestly think it's a 50/50 split. Or more accurately I think its a 33/33/34 split with the last third wondering when soaps will start writing for women again.

I enjoy them both and if it's true I hope the writers put RH and TSJ together in as many scenes as possible with whatever time they'll have both actors... and preferably in scenes with Viki, Marty, Blair, and Starr
