Fun thread. Here are mine top 10, with my favorite eras. So sad that most of my faves are long gone, and that of the ones that remain, I haven't found any of them good in at least 10 years. But I still watch...I can't help myself

1. Ryan's Hope (1976-1985)

2. All My Children (1976-1998)

3. General Hospital (1976-1986...sorry, never cared for the Labine stuff)

4. Edge of Night (1976-1983...loved all the Slesar stuff; the last year with Lee Sheldon as HW wasn't great)

5. One Life to Live (1977-1980; 1984-1987...never got into any of the Gottlieb-Malone stuff)

6. Guiding Light (1982-1984; 1987-1992...mostly the Pam Long years)

7. Another World (1976-1980; 1983-1987)

8. Texas (1981-1982...the last year was PHENOMENAL)

9. Loving (1983-1986...the first three years were great classic, traditional soap opera, esp. in a time when so many shows were doing spy melodrama)

10. Capitol (1982-1985)

I've also watched Y&R, ATWT, Search, and the Doctors, and still keep up with Y&R, but never found them that entertaining, though I've discovered some good Y&R stuff from the Bell era on youtube.
