lol at some of the comments about JR's hair.

I don't mind JY's hair either. I preferred the buzzcut right after the cancer but oh well, I've gotten over it.

I hated that long hair he had, hated it.

Minshew looks like a rodent, don't get me wrong, she's pretty but she looks like she should be chewing on some tree in the forrest.

I was wondering if there was other people that liked his buzzcut as well. I thought he looked kind of hot with the buzzcut and I wouldn't have minded if he had kept his hair like that at least a while longer. Plus around that time it looked he was starting to hit the gym again and like he was getting in better shape. I don't mind his hair right now, but I didn't like it when it was longer.

I remember during one point his hair was looking the way that Jack Wagner has liked to wear his hair a lot. This was around the time that Ava was in town and he was interested in her. And another time when his hair was longer, he was looking really scruffy and he had a Kurt Kobain type of look going on. (I believe this was one of the times when he had fallen off the wagon again) And neither one of those looks were flattering to him, IMO.

I do think that he looked like Brad Pitt when he was younger, when he was on GH as Lucky and during his early days on AMC.

Regarding AM, I think that her hair looks best the way it is now long and curly. Even if that means that it kind of limits the way she does her hair. I don't think that her hair looks very good straight and I've seen suggestions that maybe she cut it short, but I think the best style for her is just long and curly.

I think it looks even better now since she had her baby, because it looks fuller.

Either way, Jack's toast, and Caleb is soon to be her new man.

At least it appears Walt Willey's job won't be in danger like every other time Jack and Erica are separated. Krystal and Jack will most likely happen, which I kind of dig. I have enjoyed the chemistry between Eakes and Willey.

Although I wish this happened 6 months ago when the fall-out would have been much better, Liza and Damon are still HOT! I really would have preferred him bedding both Colby and Liza at the same time. Ohy well, we should still at least get to see Tad explode :lol: which is what I've always wanted from this plot point.

I don't like Jack, but I seem to be more able to tolerate him when he's not around Erica. Walt and Bobbie do have chemistry, I thought they did back in 2005 as well, so it might be fun on that end. I just don't know about Caleb/Erica.

I'm surprised anyone even gives that much of a damn about Marissa Tasker. New girl or Eunice, the character is pointless!

But I will say, I loved reading the catfight between Cheap and CD! :wub:

For me it would help if Caleb was more desirable... I am sorry but Michael Nouri HAS NOT aged well at all. I think that's part of the problem. Susan Lucci is still a goddess and Michael Nouri is.... well... I am not sure :unsure:

I do agree with you there. It seems that MN has aged 10 years in the 9 months that he's been with the show.

Co-sign! Team Cheap all the way. I didn't say I gave a damn about Marissa Tasker (totally forgot the bitch's last name), I just think the new one is easier to watch. But, still one of the most pointless characters on daytime ever. Why kill Babe off if the end result was another Carey spawn?

I don't even know if it's looks with me, I just don't see the chemistry. I feel like even if he hadn't aged well, if there was chemistry, it would still be there. It's just not. They work well together, but...I dunno.

I used to be against Liza/Damon bc I didnt want Liza to hurt Colby like that. Now nothing would make me happier

Knots Landing

It's actually pretty sad that the Knots landscape is filled with businesses and locations that ended up slipping away, being let go of, or flaming out spectacularly. Knots Landing Motors. Daniel's. Westfork Ranch. Lotus Point. Pacific World Cable. Empire Valley. Hell, even Tidal Energy. It's like an extra-pointless game of Monopoly, with The Sumner Group as Park Place. Who knows, maybe the community pulled a Neighbours and in-universe, Seaview Circle itself has been torn down for road expansion.

Corday is. Always has been. Always runs roughshod over any writers or creatives who tried to seriously change the tone and style of the show (who I need not name as most weren't popular, but I did like several early attempts by two separate teams lol). And when Ken did try to make major earthshaking moves (the Salem Stalker, firing Dee and Drake unceremoniously) it was always the wrong ones.
I've watched a fair amount this year given the many memorial events, anniversaries, etc. I see a ton of raw potential in the show today. But like Brad Bell at B&B, it will never change without Corday stepping back.

The more I listen to the last remix of the EON theme, the more it grows on me...the biggest downside is the really cheap graphics, especially the end with the car and then with Raven and Sky kissing in front of Chromakey.

-- The Christmas tree stuff with Alex and Stephanie was so bad.
I know it's all minor, but why can't they make something like this more realistic? They dragged a tree across Horton Town Square. What??? Then they get this 4' tree up and make a big deal that it's not straight.
The tree -- NEVER for a moment looking like a real tree -- then falls to the ground and both Alex and Stephanie act as if it's destroyed.
-- Johnny and Chanel live in a place that screams "We're really struggling financially and we hope the government doesn't cut our food stamps." At least Johnny's bubble butt looks good in those jeans.

Agreed, I think Blake became a woman who learned from her mistakes and grew up. I too wanted them to be the core couple after the Tori thing, as a matter of fact, around Wheeler after Simon left I wanted them to move into the Bauer house..( I would have Blake say that this is the closet thing she knew as a home )SORAS the kids, and bring Sam back..Dinah would have a very contentious relationship with her, as she would be jealous of Ross and Sam's relationship, and Blake and Dinah would have that tension (ya, know cause she killed his brother) it would be a core family that had some fissures leading to good drama. But now, Wheeler and company though the Coopers should be the core.

Agree that great minds can think alike :)
In terms of Derek, I see the show doing one of two things based on the most recent episodes that featured him.
1) They do the gradual fade-out of the character until he stops appearing and is occasionally mentioned by Jacob (i.e. still living and existing in town, just not being seen). We saw some evidence with him having a group of co workers he's friends with, plus a female co worker interested in him... so possibly we see him regain his walking and go back to his life with the Fire crew and eventually we stop seeing them on air.
2) His mentioning to Jacob that he hopes to win Ashley back signals that perhaps the dark side we saw glimpses of has been hidden and will rear itself if she appears to be moving on with a new guy.
In terms of Ashley, the show seems committed to keeping her character on the show especially since she was shown in the Thanksgiving episode having a quiet day with Jan and Mona as they discuss Black Friday shopping, food, and other day to day matters... so I think delving into her backstory in terms of who her father is would be a good place for the show to go while keeping her as a good friend to Naomi, Shanice, and a good nurse during medical stories.
Perhaps one of the children of the handsome new doctor could be her love interest down the line.

Re: 1978. I'm glad the unedited version of the episode complete with commercials is available. The one that has been posted several years ago had several segments missing. I like Barbara's long hair here. Dr. Steven Farrell didn't last very long I take it since she is re-connecting with Tom (Tom Tammi) by 1979. The actor playing Steven (Phil Peters) was the real-life husband of Lenore Kasdorf (Rita GL).

Oh, how I wish we'd gotten to see Ross deal with his teenage sons. I loved his relationships with Phillip and Sam, but he really deserved to be seen with his own kids (other than the horror that became Dinah). The boys simply disappeared off canvas after either the Nursery Stalker or the affair with Tori.
