@FrenchFan thank you sooo much for the 1982 synopsis. Definitely fills in a LOT of blanks. I love how there was that triangle between Jack/Patty/Danny. I don’t know why they didn’t keep the Jack/Danny rivalry going in later years though...

Looking back on everything that went down off screen and on screen during the first 10 years of Y&R, it's amazing that Y&R survived it's first decade and then thrived during it's next 15 years (save for Cricket eating the show summer 1986 to end of 1989, Nick/Sharon eating the show fall 1994 to early 1996, and the lull of fall 1996 to summer 1997). 

Please are there any 1983 shows.

I will be very sad when they return with new episodes.

I wish they released all of the old ones so that I could just watch those instead.

The show hasn't been enjoyable in a long time. I wish I had of been alive then to watch such an entertaining show.

There is just something that draws you into the episodes back then, and the show doesn't have that anymore in my opinion.

They are just the synopses published on SOD. Someone scanned them all on another soap forum. I just tried to put them together to become monthly summaries.

I have been reading them and again thanks for taking the time to put them up, it's a lot of material I never knew about so it was like fresh to me.

These reruns they have been playing are awful I’m sure the ratings are at an all time low so sad when there are so many good ones they could of played instead

Yes "karen" was clearly just that random character that was there to fill in the space they needed and she could leave after and nobody should care much lol.

 

Yes i could definitely see Lorie and Lucas being a couple but that never happened.

 

Well technically Stuart was on until 83 but I would like to see some his last scenes on the show.

Was Andy married when he came on the show? I don't get the point of the Karen character and the marriage.

Yes he was married to Karen. She was unfaithful I think. The story was mostly Karen not giving Andy his divorce.

Maybe he was only married so that Jill would be with a married man yet again.

Ah ah maybe. I think she was mostly a foil in Andy/Jill relationship until Jill was moved to John again in 1982.
