Just home from the Days of our Lives party at House of Blues and it was fabulous seeing so many old -- and some new -- friends. The show's been renewed for another two years which is fantastic! Special kudos to Gary Tomlin and Dena for managing to keep it alive. We should all be grateful.

This is awesome, I was not expecting NBC to do this at all. Happy that DAYS cast and crew have a job for at least 2 more years.

That's wonderful news. Even with the decline in the last year, NBC has a lot to worry about elsewhere, and it seems like DAYS manages to stay on budget while filling up 5 hours a week.

I hope that this might free them up to learn how to tell stories better.

I also hope Sheri might be able to get involved in writing the show again.

Great news for fans of the show. The HD upgrade didn't come cheap. If NBC plans on keeping DAYS around for another two years, I wonder if they will add another network daytime show to pair with it or leave as is?

I think Days is the only soap who can get serious ratings gains and sustain them. I wouldn't watch anything Dena Higley writes but I am so happy for the fans and the actors! Great news.

Great news. I guess the show deserves it way more than the others.

Days seems to have a rhythm and are the only soap to have any true ratings momentum upwards. I'm happy to see this and happy that NBC is supporting the show. CBS and ABC might talk a good game, but NBC is the network actually doing it.

What a great gift for the shows 45th Anniversary. This is awesome news and it's so warming to know the show will be here till at least September 2013. That seems like such a long way from now....congrats to DAYS.

It is definitely official now. Judy, the promo lady confirmed it on her twitter a couple hours ago.

OMG, OMG! This seriously just made me so happy. I get to spend at least three more years visiting Salem.

Days deserves it. Good use of most of its cast (both young and old), a lynchpin love story between Victor and Maggie, recentered the SLs on great core families like the Kiriakises, Hortons and DiMeras. It's not perfect but I really enjoy this show and am so pleased they worked hard to make a leaner, better product. Congrats!

This is SO exciting! I admit, I haven't been watching the show since the summer, but I am thinking of getting back into it because of some of the things I've read...

On a side note, is anything special going on for tomorrow? November 8th is the 15th anniversary, right? Is there any special sort of episode that I should record, or is it just another regular episode?
