Former GH Actress joins DAYS

Soap Opera Digest can report that Natalia Livingston, best known to daytime audiences as GH's Emily (2003-08) and Rebecca (2009) has been hired to play Taylor Raines, sister of Arianne Zucker’s Nicole. The role was last portrayed by Katherine Ellis from 1998-99.

Katherine Ellis was horrible but I'd take her over Natalia Livingston. Arianne will wipe the floor with Natalia.

I really like some of her fans here, but I can't say I am a fan of hers. I do think it makes sense to bring back Taylor, although perhaps not right now since the show needs a ratings jolt, not a Mary Sue.

I've never been a fan of NL's per se, but I have to defend her a little - she's held her own with some of the heaviest hitters in Daytime. When Stuart Damon is the weakest link in the Quartermaine household, that's saying something about the actors who play that family, and NL's Emily kept pace. It was her return as Rebecca that was the disaster.

Ha! I was thinking Nataia Livingston before I even opened this up. Taylor was a horrible character played by an actress with no screen presence. She reminds me of Marissa from AMC. I think Natalia will at least have more of an impact than she did. So Im guessing this is teh beautiful caucasion age 25-35, they were looking for

It was her as Emily that was the disaster period. The character became unrecognizable with her in the role.

Question: where does Raines come from? I thought they were Walker-Mendezes?

She hasnt been seen in 11 years. Its very likely that she's been married

Their initial backstory, IIRC, was that Taylor and Nicole had different fathers. She was introduced on DAYS as Taylor Raines, but I think towards the end of her run, she went by Taylor Walker. I think they changed her last name because they wanted to remind viewers that she and Nicole were sisters.

I think it'll be an interesting dynamic to see Nicole interacting with a sister again. Can't say I'm thrilled with the choice of actress they've hired, but we'll see what happens.

Wow, this sucks. She was horrible. I have to hope it was the writing that made her character so unlikable and not her lack of talent. She is very pretty, and if the dialogue isn't too obnoxious this may avoid being a disaster.
