October 14, 201015 yr Member This has to be the ugliest house ever. I think it must have been designed by Frank Lloyd Wrong.
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member It's awful. I have no idea who the arhictect is, but this is just... shameful. Here is the 'plan' for the building.
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member It has three helipads?! The architects are Chicago-based Perkins and Will: http://www.perkinswill.com/
October 14, 201015 yr Member It doesn't look as nice as the drawing, and the drawing doesn't look too nice to begin with.
October 14, 201015 yr Member Atrocious. I don't know why anyone would find that even remotely beautiful. Edited October 14, 201015 yr by YRBB
October 14, 201015 yr Member Ewww, thats ugly as hell. With that much money, why would anyone want to live in such a monstrousity?
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member At least some still have taste (or so it seems). I've just read that Carlos Slim Helú bought Duke–Semans mansion (in July apparently) on the Fifth Avenue, for $44m: A prime example of Beaux-Arts architecture, too bad many such Manhattan townhouses got demolished. October 14, 201015 yr Member Those don't look real. They look like something out of some sort of fantasy.
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member Ewww, thats ugly as hell. With that much money, why would anyone want to live in such a monstrousity? That's question number one. Question number two is: how the hell did these architects allow themselves to design such a horrible building?! Where did their taste go? Sure, Mukesh Ambani told them what he would like, but they could have toned it down quite a bit or improve the 'template'. Those don't look real. They look like something out of some sort of fantasy. Which ones?
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member The Duke Semans mansion pictures. For a moment there I freaked out: I thought you meant both, Antilia and Helú's new NY abode. I love the Duke–Semans house, always did. The address is 1009 5th Ave, New York so if you're interested you can use Google Street View to see it from different perspectives. Are those two pictures not the same place?
October 14, 201015 yr Author Member Yes, yes, it's the same house. The right one is the entrance from the East 82nd Street, you can see it where those cars are in the left pic.
