I'm a few days behind, so I hav e been refraining from reading this board because I didn't want eeeverrrything to be spoiled.

But I'll just throw in that the whole Chance thing was kind of okay. I will say that I was pretty pissed that they were killing him off, so I was glad to see he was alive. And I think that it finally gave Tricia Cast something good to work with. She ALWAYS gives her best, but this storyline really showed what a powerhouse she is. Also, I am LOVING Cricket's involvement in the story. Maybe i'm in the minority on this board, but I have always liked her a lot.

I cannot STAND Heather. I think part of it is Eden in the role, and part is just what they've done to her. I think Eden is HORRIBLY miscast, and while she is a good actress on some levels, she just isn't Heather IMO. And they have turned Heather into such a whiney, nosey, preachy, homewreckingg, just horrible character. I miss Vail. I personally liked her a lot.

I know I'm in the minority on this one too, but I really like Billy and Victoria together. Victoria has been so demolished as a character, and that's such a disappointment to mee...But, I like them together, and I could see them being a real power couple if they ever decide to make her a serious business woman again.

With the rumors that

it is safe to assume that Victoria will have full custody of Reid again soon, and it will be interesting to see that dynamic. And I'm glad she's pregnant.

Am I the only one who noticed how they aged Delia like two years, overnight?

Damn. Drunk Nikki stumbling up and down the stairs!

I think yesterday was the first day I totally accepted Michael Muhney in the role of Adam. I was actually pleased to see him and I'm waiting for him to appear in scenes with SC.

Eden Reigel OTOH, tried and failed to play OfficeBitch Heather. And then tried and failed to sob as she listened to Chance's shooting on tape. It must be so odd for ER to know that her performances criticized now. When she was on AMC, she was really hailed for her breakthrough role, she was Susan Lucci's little shia pet and Alicia Minshew's BFF. Everybody was all "When is Eden going to get her Emmy?!" Then ER did the webisode thing and got all that "critical acclaim" I keep hearing about. But now? Why is nobody piping up about how she's the Best Thing Ever on Y&R? How they finally have a "real actress" in the role?

LMAO as Silly, Neil and NotMalcolm prayed over their dodgy steak! NotMalcolm was all "Does this steak smell funky to you? Oh, well. I'm gonna eat it anyway!"

Abby and Victoria look like they are the same age there and Victoria used to be her stepmother. That photo reminds me of Bush and his twins

speaking of Lily, has she EVER expressed any interest in black men? I mean she went from Kevin to Daniel to Billy and now Cane. Has she ever even had a crush on a black guy in high schol or gush over one being cute? Or are black men completely not on her radar? I've always fonud that odd about her. Nothing wrong with have a preferencace but I can't recall her being attracted to anyone of her own race

    • This is (maybe) overly simplistic and nonsoapy, but Doug needs to go to Gamblers Anonymous, to deal with the addictive neurological excitement hits that gambling gives him - and which control his life. Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her.
    • YT keeps commending GL clips to me. I discovered Kathleen Cullen was on in Christmas 1987. Was there any talk of making it permanent  or was this just a special visit? I wish they had made the visit permanent. I liked her chemistry with Grant Aleksander.
    • I'm not sure it's as unpopular as you think.  I just think the show knew they were in a bind, and needed a proven couple for the viewers to invest in. Trying to reunite Vanessa and Ross had just failed in 87. I don't think Ed and Holly's affair was well received, as Simon and Garrett had a brother/sister chemistry. Enter Billy and Vanessa, who give you history and an out not to try and do a Josh/Reva/Billy triangle, which would've really wrecked the relationship between Josh and Billy. I'd have been ok with trying Vanessa/Ross again, and doing a Vanessa/Ross/Holly/Billy quad for a while. I hated Nadine. HATED. She had to be the most insufferable also-ran before ATWT's Julia Lindsay. This is where I wish I knew Roger's history better.

    • GROSS. Michael Swan was hot back in his ATWT days. Now he's 76 and WAY past his hot years.
    • Since she kidnapped, locked up and tried to kill her father's wife I'd say that is still a pretty big deal
    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s. Rita was accused of killing a private patient for an inheritance when she lived in Texas. Part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
