Well might as well on the Christopher character....so many male actors out there and they choose Jesse I look like a hispanic male model who cant act Metcalf....ugh

It's mostly about a generic look. My guess is they'd hire anyone who was a failed younger actor on a hit show or maybe someone who was a lead on a CW show for a while. Who was that person killed off in the first season of 90210...

I actually think that Jesse Metcalfe is doing okay so far with his acting on this show.I see some Bobby in him. IMO, Josh Henderson is the one that comes off weaker in the acting department. I'm also liking Jordana's Brewster's character. I'm glad that JR is awake and I hope that Bobby beats his cancer.

Henderson seems about the same as Metcalfe to me - just bland and robotic. No charisma.

I think Alexa's a great soap actress, but her Torchwood run was so terribly written...she spent the whole time weeping.

I don't know how old she is in real life, but Alexa Havins looks older than John Ross and Christopher. At least to me.

The more I watch, the more I think the Knots twins are essential to this show. Every time they show those sweeping shots of Southfork, I get that feeling that it's a place that's seen more excitement in its day. Looking at the original cast, you had the older folks Jock and Ellie, you had the business-minded JR and Bobby, but you also had Lucy, who couldn't give a sh!t about Ewing Oil. There should be someone in that house who is young and doesn't care about the family business, because John Ross and Christopher are too "grown up" to be young and carefree like Lucy was. So Rob Ewing, where you at?
