I guess I'll have to watch the last two episodes if some are saying it was good.

Ratings from last night:

2.603 total viewers and 0.8 in the 18-49 demo

I wonder how the ratings would be if they had premiered this season in the summer. The first season had episodes that ranged between 3 and 4 million.

Good that's it up to 0.8 again. I hope they premiere a new season late this summer.

Is it just me or is Emma giving off a Lucy vibe? Too bad they only used Afton for an episode, I really think she could be a good ally in Rebecca/Pamela's corner. It's awkward though how they decided to revert Rebecca's name to Pamela this season, especially considering the original Pamela storyline. It's obvious that the writers are having to refer her to as "Christopher's mom" because of this.

They already established when Emma Bell was cast that her character was basically Lucy 2.0. She's not as interesting as Charlene was to me and I don't see chemistry with her and Kuno or Josh [it was predictable as hell when he slept with her and he had me cracking up when he was brushing her off at the hospital].

I don't think this show has become "boring" at all. It's just getting back that alltheEwings vs the world (and sometimes each other) vibe the early seasons of the original had before becoming too JR-centric in later seasons.

Yeah, Emma is definitely the new Lucy, but far less interesting. There's potential there but I don't see any purpose for her other than sleeping around. I guess the same could have been said about Lucy but Charlene had a spark about her that ultimately made Lucy rootable and interesting to watch.

I mean, they even had Emma ripped away from Ann. Um, Lucy was pretty much ripped away from Val. So yeah, there was clear intentions, IMHO, for her to be the 'new Lucy'. I'm not entirely against it, if a) it was handled and written better and B.) if Lucy herself were actually being used

The other thing about this too is that Lucy is an Ewing. This girl is the daughter of Bobby's wife and I'm like eh, ok.

I do agree about your other parts as well.

At least they're smart enough to realize John Ross and Rebecca are like 3/4ths the reason I watch the show....

Exactly.
