I am surprised that Brody wanted Natalie to get an abortion. I understand that he's worried that Natalie possibly having his child, could hurt his relationship with Jessica. But I would have thought he might would have wanted Natalie to keep the baby/be apart of the child's life, if they were his.

Even if there was a lot of conflict involved, like being afraid of how Jessica would act when she found out, and afraid of losing her. Brody was crazy about Shane and was a good father figure to him, even though he knew Shane wasn't his. I would have though that he would have wanted to be a father to Natalie's baby (if the child's his). Even if he would have struggled, with possibly losing Jessica over that.

I love that Todd and Tea are finally married after all these years. Did some youtubing and loving the scenes between this family. Very well written and acted. I hoep Tea doesnt die. Has Carlota been used at all? She was always like a second mother to Tea

Carlotta doesnt even know. Neither does Viki. Tea says she doesnt want to bother them and that she will write them letters when she gets to the hospice. Did u watch the scenes with Tea and Blair from Monday? Great scenes with flashbacks of their rivalry.

Then, he'll really lose his [!@#$%^&*].

SIGH.

Just do me a favor, alright, OLTL? When Brody becomes insane and irredeemable, let his final moments be spent w/o any clothes on. He can hold the entire Lord/Buchanan/Banks family hostage at Llanfair w/ a homemade bomb for all I care. But let him do it naked! At least give me that!

I think Brody's reaction was justified- he has struggled for years before Jessica and her pregnancy and their engagement for him was finally being able to move on.

I think that Brody's initial reaction was expected- but I would also expect him to apologize to Natalie soon about trying to convince her to get rid of the baby. That would be a lot of people's reaction in the same situation- it's how he feels afterwards that really matters.

I doubt they'll destroy Brody though. After Nash and Jared- it would be just way too much.

Is it me, or does OLTL constantly have the characters remind us of everything that is going on in the stories? It feels like they are always summarizing EVERYTHING that just happened days ago, or reminding us of what happened with constant flashbacks?

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.

    • A very rare, fascinating look at camera blocking in a 1980 episode. Very loose, almost startlingly so (who expects to see Will Vernon with a cig dangling out of his mouth?). @vetsoapfan There's some Jacquie Courtney content in the back half of the video.
