These recaps are from February 18-22, and February 25-March 1, 1991.

ALL MY CHILDREN:

Brooke denies that Adam is the father of her baby, but he won't buy it. He's so insistent that Brooke deduces Trevor was behind his delusion. Dillon convinces her to give the plan some time to work. Tom guesses that Brooke went along only to hide the fact that she's carrying Tad's child. Cudahy has the perfect solution: They'll tell everyone it's his baby. Brooke declines the offer-for now.

Adam is desperate to win Brooke back and realizes Brooke is not interested as long as he's still married. He gives it all up, and a shocked Nat heads to the Caribbean for a divorce. Adam convinces Brooke to dine with him and they have a good time, though he still believes the baby is his.

SMELLS LIKE A SET-UP:

When Opal offers to take over the finances at home, Will is convinced that she's after Palmer's money. He's even more suspicious when he sees her secretly meet with a man at McKay's and is convinced Opal's having an affair. He orders Uli to follow her, and Mr. U snaps an incriminating picture of Opal with the man, who is really a detective searching for Tad. When Palmer has a particularly violent spell, Will tells Uli that Opal must be poisoning Palmer with the health drink. The fact is, somebody really is tampering with Palmer's health drink.

LANIE GIVES IN:

Lanie is shocked when Charlie's fiancee', Maria, surprises him in the Caribbean. Charlie is forced to tell Maria it's over. Though Melanie is upset, she allows Charlie to sweet-talk her into bed. Afterward, Melanie professes her love, but Charlie doesn't reciprocate. Back in Pine Valley, Melanie confides in Dixie that she thinks Charlie will propose to her. Meanwhile, Charlie tells Joey that he is definitely allergic to serious relationships.

IT'S FINALLY OVER:

When Bianca sees Erica and Jack kissing, she sets fire to her Mommy and Uncle Jack dolls. Travis's suspicions mount when he learns how and why the fire started. He heads to Jack' s, where he finds his brother and his wife in bed together. He storms out to tell Bianca that he's divorcing Erica. Erica is shocked when he sues for custody. Tom refuses to testify for Erica at the Custody hearing, but Erica is able to convince him. Mona worries that Erica will cause trouble for Travis.

HAYLEY IS KIDNAPPED:

Brian catches Hayley fresh from the shower and is surprised at how good she looks without makeup and with blond hair. Later, he gives her a belated Valentine's Day gift. Hayley's perfect life is disrupted when Arlene tells her if she doesn't come home to Chicago, she'll come to get her. Hayley stows away on Nat's plane. They aren't in St. Tristan ten minutes when Hayley is kidnapped; Sheldon and Dewitt think she's Adam Chandler's daughter. Natalie gets a ransom note demanding two million dollars.

When Arlene shows up in Pine Valley, Trevor tells her he'll fight to keep Hayley. His first problem, though, is getting her back, and Nat's attorney offers to help them get the ransom together. Trevor sends Arlene back to Chicago and flies down to help Nat find Hayley. Arlene sneaks back to into the house. Meanwhile, Sheldon and Dewitt start to wonder if anyone would pay money to get the obnoxious Hayley back.

WHAT THEY WANT:

Katie tries to talk Emily Ann about postponing pregnancy, and realizes that Em wants security and a family to promote her self-image... Ceara and Tom commiserate over their lost loves, and she invites him over to have dinner at her place. Ceara is surprised when Tom suddenly kisses her. She responds, and dinner concludes in the bedroom.

A PLAN IN MOTION:

Will and Mr.U keep Palmer from drinking any more of Opal's health drink, and Will tells Palmer that he believes that Opal is poisoning him. Palmer cannot believe it, and he blasts Will for even making the accusation. Nonetheless, he won't drink Opal's health drink. And when Phoebe tells him that Opal didn't make the environmental contributions that she claimed to have made, Palmer's suspicions mount.

ROSE-COLORED GLASSES:

Palmer chides Melanie for not telling him about her trip to the Caribbean with Charlie, but she defends herself by saying she is in love with him. At the same time, Phoebe accosts Charlie for using her credit card to pay for the trip, but he pays her back with Casino winnings and denies that Lanie is anything but a friend.

NOT SO FAST:

Adam brings Brooke a catered dinner. She's moved despite herself, and asks him to stay. When Adam kisses Brooke and proposes to her, she sends him on an errand. While he's gone, she packs a suitcase. She tells Tom she's leaving Pine Valley for a while to get away from Adam's relentless pursuit. Adam vows to find her.

AS THE WORLD TURNS:

Margo has a sneaking suspicion why Hal left Barbara, and Oakdale. Having given birth to her lover's baby herself, Margo knows how uncomfortable life becomes when you have to tell your husband the truth. She pays Barbara a visit and conjectures that Hal left her because he learned that he's not Jennifer's father. Barbara admits the truth to Margo- well, at least part of the truth. She tells her the real father doesn't know about the baby. Then in walks Darryl, and Barbara panics.

CLOSING IN ON HENRY:

Everyone in the Snyder house knows Caleb's got murder on his mind when his gun falls out of his jacket pocket in the kitchen. Angel begs him to give her the gun. She hides the weapon and tells Barclay to warn Henry that Caleb is after his hide. Henry is holed up at the Lakeview Towers, screening his calls except for those made by Barclay. Caleb overhears this, and later finds the gun under Angel's mattress.

BARCLAY'S ULTIMATUM:

Henry denies to Barclay that he was the father of Angel's baby. Barclay tells his father to go to London and never go near Angel again. The younger Lange frightens Henry with the amount of hidden information that has come to light. Hearing that Caleb Snyder has a gun and is looking for him makes him very nervous.

Caleb calls the Lakeview, Claiming to be Barclay. The line is busy, but the operator tells Caleb the number of Henry's suite.

GIMME SHELTER:

It's time for that ski trip to the Stewart cabin. Unfortunately, Larry is unable to drive up with Frannie and Darryl because of an emergency. Frankie tries to distract herself from thinking how sexy Darryl is with Chatter about possible surrogate mothers for that in vitro project he and his paralyzed wife Carolyn are talking about. Darryl can dream about the good old days in that Swiss chalet with his wife, but Frannie pops up where Carolyn should be. After hanging up the phone with his wife, Darryl and Frannie dance to the Rolling Stones. Who's Larry?

CALEB'S ARRESTED:

Thinking Barclay's knocking, Henry opens the door and sees Caleb. He's disgusted that Henry tried to pin Angel's pregnancy on him. Henry continues to deny responsibility, and they argue. Caleb warns Henry that he will not be able to stop the truth from coming out. Henry reaches for the gun, and the two men struggle for it. Henry takes the gun and turns it on himself, firing once. Consequently, Caleb is arrested for murder. He won't tell Jessica why he and Henry fought, even if it means a charge of murder.

DOMINICK-A-NIK-A-NIK:

Angel learns that her father has left his entire fortune, except for the business, to her. She doesn't want the money. She takes off again, this time to St. Mary's Convent, a local nunnery. There she prays for guidance, and asks the good sisters to give her haven. Angel meets Sister Dominick, who just happens to be the sister of Henry Lange's henchman, Virgil. Enter Virgil, who frightens Angel at first. She later strikes a bargain with him to keep his secret if he'll keep hers. Virgil says Caleb will get life in prison, or worse. Angel goes to confession.

HIS OWN WORST ENEMY:

Meanwhile, after they have beaten Caleb to a pulp, Barclay tells his brothers, Stephen and Jay, about his father's incest with Angel. They refuse to believe him. He says that Angel can confirm it, and they can help free Caleb. But Caleb is not helping himself. Free on Bail, he runs off to Seattle when Cal Stricklyn reports that his private investigator has found Julie in a hotel.

When D.A. Tom Hughes, who thinks Caleb deliberately shot old man Lange, shows up at the farm to talk to Caleb, he's no longer there.

LOCAL JOY:

Bob thanks her for giving him another chance. Kim tries to believe that they can make it work again. But inwardly, she's not so sure that their relationship will succeed.

I DIG YOU:

Darryl declares his feelings for Frannie. Groovy, says Frannie, but she can't reciprocate because he's a married man. Oh, that's right, thinks Darryl, but meeting Frannie has been one of the best things that's ever happen to him.

THE VESSEL:

Mrs. Crawford observes Darryl and Frannie's closeness just as Dr.Samuels approves her for in vitro fertilization. Frannie Hughes comes up with a surrogate mother. Her name is Dana, and she's very interested in renting her womb for the right price. Carolyn confides to Margo that she offered to give Darryl a divorce because their sex life is over.

Mac is sentenced to thirty days community service for assault. He's relieved to hear no one died in the freighter accident. "Well done," he thinks. Robert finally speaks of the painful past. "I loved my father very much. When he died, I knew I'd never be the same person again-and Mac's to blame for that, " he accuses. God that show was so freaking depressing at that time. Sad sack Angel running around crying, pissed off Caleb, and molesting daddy who made his daughter preggers...and hello, here comes Carolyn Crawford!!!

How that show scored higher then GL at the time I never know. That says a lot for what a strong core can do for a show.

Ah, the memories. Thanks for posting these summaries.

Gah, I hated those damn Eckerts. Monty ruined GH with her revamp. I'll never forgive her for killing off Dawn and writing out Decker.

Awww, the beginning of one of my favorite teen couples, Jenna and Dean on Another World.

On ATWT, I loved Rex Smith as slimy Darryl Crawford. The Angel abuse story was so painful to watch. I went from hating Angel to feeling so bad for her. Great story.

I loved Charlotte Ross as Eve on Days. I hate Jennifer's rape by Lawrence and how it impacted her and Jack.
