May 20, 201015 yr Author Member I didn't know who Wendy was till her tv show suddenly popped up and me and my friends were entranced by this bizarre woman (who looks exactly like a drag queen friend of ours)--but since I've learned that her show was more salacious, and she even came off as far more biting and mean, when it was on radio (on TV, despite being so gossipy, she does her best to be the new "queen of nice" it seems). (Isn't it funny after reading the link Sylph posted, that now she endlessly sucks up to both Whitney and Mariah, to mention two listed there). Oddly I kinda liked him chunky. But yeah--he does look good there. She kinda has to bc there are more rules and regulations on tv. She was borderline rated R with some of the stuff she got into on the radio. As for Mariah, she gets along great with her. Mariahs been on her radio show several times and they always have a good interview together Have you ever heard the Whitney interview? Whitney ws high and acting all types of crazy. It was after her infamous Diane Sawyer interview. I dont know why anyone didnt stop her from getting on the radio and acting like a mess. She was cursing up a storm, threatneing to beat Wendy up and talking about Bobby. It was a trainwreck. You can find some of it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6_jjYFZypY
May 20, 201015 yr Member Robin Givens is playing her in a movie? I didn't even know if she was still acting...
May 20, 201015 yr Author Member Robin Givens is playing her in a movie? I didn't even know if she was still acting... That was the biggest WTF casting I heard when it was revealed. I dont even know if the movie is still going to happen bc its been in talks/production for years. Wendy doesnt mention it anymore and it should have been finished by now
May 20, 201015 yr Member Poor OLTL Thanks for posting! I'm assuming they were excluded b/c the shoot took place in LA. But if the shoot took place in Central Park that would suck.
May 20, 201015 yr Member Yeah, the movie was completed like two years ago now. If it ever sees the light of day, you can bank on straight-to-BET/TVOne and/or dvd. She had Robin on the show of course to talk about it. A friend of a friend plays Puffy. One day someone called in and suggested that RuPaul should have played her. Wendy was like, "Ya know, I hope this isn't being said to be cruel, he is a friend of the show..." but that she wasn't going for parody, she was really trying to tell her story seriously. Months before, a "pre-op transexual" called in and asked Wendy who did her surgery. It was obviously a prank call but Wendy ran with it, going off on a wild, graphic tangent on her varied transformative surgeries. The caller feigned that he/she was serious and Wendy totally gave them the business, "If you're gonna [!@#$%^&*] with me don't think I won't come right back atchoo! AwwRIIIGHT?? " Georges Vesselle champagne was trying to hit the lucrative hip-hop market and Wendy became a spokesperson for their brand, she and her husband traveling to the vineyard in France and having the owner on her show. She was already a spokeperson for Alize, and it was always fun when they would break out the bottles on any given afternoon and get twisted on their various mixes of Georges Vesselle and Alize. I haven't seen him on her TV show since it first started, I don't catch it more than once or twice a week, but some of you may remember seeing her special correspondant Charlemagne. He was her sidekick on the radio show, kinda loved but mostly despised by her fans. He ended up getting fired and the show really lost some of it's oomph and you could tell Wendy really had her foot out the door after that, so ready for the TV show.

Yeah, I don't think the Surf Motel, or whatever vintage hotel they shot that at, is in NYC I am surprised (and impressed lol) that GH got less people than AMC.
May 21, 201015 yr Member Yeah, I don't think the Surf Motel, or whatever vintage hotel they shot that at, is in NYC I am surprised (and impressed lol) that GH got less people than AMC. Im not, GH is only pimping JMB & DZ right now.
May 21, 201015 yr Member Im not, GH is only pimping JMB & DZ right now. Considering the ratings drop on the day Lante first screwed around, I'm not sure why.

May 22, 201015 yr Member Considering the ratings drop on the day Lante first screwed around, I'm not sure why. Baby, please. I'm no "FRONS IS THE EVIL OF ALL EVILS OF ABCD..." but I do have to concede that when he believes in something, demos go out of the window. True, Rebecca Budig, his Dream Lay, left AMC TWICE when Greenlee was paired with Ryan and "allegedly" returned under the condition that Greenlee wouldn't be with Ryan... but it still doesn't change AMC from writing Rylee as this phenomenal starcrossed couple! Nevermind that we would have NEVER been blessed with this current version of Greenlee if she were with Ryan. Same with GH. He's got a boner for Kelly Monaco, Laura Wright and Julie Berman... That trumps any demographic. GH's pathetically desperate attempt at making Julie "I'm Such a Tomboy" Berman into this hot piece of ass that all men will DIE FOR is proof. DZ gets a pass because Maurice wants to fcuk him in an alternate universe.
