May 15, 201015 yr Member Most of guys are hating it, but I am LOVING this. It's so cheesy yet fun, my fave has to be Our Lips are Sealed, and the song Brody sung. The only other one I am looking forward to is Layla, Starr, and Langston singing Battlefield.
May 15, 201015 yr Member They should have cast the girl that plays Hannah as Danielle, she looks like she could be Tea's daughter more than the girl who plays Danielle does
May 15, 201015 yr Author Member They should have cast the girl that plays Hannah as Danielle, she looks like she could be Tea's daughter more than the girl who plays Danielle does I don't know about that...but I like Hannah, and think Meghann Fahy is a good actress.
May 15, 201015 yr Member The first day was good, I didn't think I would like it, but I did. My favorite part was "We Belong", Pat Benatar songs aren't easy to pull off, but the actresses did well. Edited May 15, 201015 yr by ReddFoxx
May 15, 201015 yr Member I liked the musical too. The scene at Roxie's was the best and Brody (althoug the whites are over the top). Glad someone is getting up in skanky Langston's face. What a class A idiot she is! Family scenes were nice too. Even trotted out the Evans and Riveras. Blair's singing is too cocktail lounge for me.
May 15, 201015 yr Member The Wolek sisters are so very missed on this show. And seriously, it would be so damn easy to bring them back. It would, but it'd have to be w/ Judith Light and Brynn Thayer as Karen and Jenny, respectively. Even then, I doubt JL would ever return for another, long-term stint. Limited run (where she more-or-less introduces audiences to her offspring)? Sure. Permanent return? No.
May 15, 201015 yr Member And interesting to note, Light and Thayer are still best friends in real life...

It would certainly give a jolt to longstanding characters like Viki. Of course the way the soap press is now, Judith would probably be trashed for daring to have the same initials as Jessica Leccia...
May 15, 201015 yr Member Of course the way the soap press is now, Judith would probably be trashed for daring to have the same initials as Jessica Leccia. Given the way the show is now, Karen's return story would somehow end up being about Danielle, John, or Todd. Edited May 15, 201015 yr by Khan
May 15, 201015 yr Member We'll hear more of it on Monday and Tuesday... http://soapoperanetwork.com/soaps/oltl/news/2339-one-life-resurrects-vintage-theme-song GRRRR!! We can't get those songs in the Canadian iTunes store!!! Anyone have any suggestions for us Canucks who want to buy that soundtrack?
May 15, 201015 yr Member Mark Lawson has so much going for him but there is something just missing. He is clearly handsome and cuts a romantic figure in his uniform but there is no spark. Watching him sing you could see he was trying to be earnest, but then I think of Ewan McGregor singing in a similar mood on Moulin Rouge and how he was bringing so much joy and life to his face from being in love, and Mark Lawson just didn't have that going on. As a singer his voice sounds a little sharp to me. I don't think this was the type of song he is probably best suited for. The kids jumping around singing that song was nonsense.
May 15, 201015 yr Member From the clips that I have seen, Brynn Thayer is one of OLTL's most undervalued players ever. What a beautiful woman, great voice, great actress, just completely watchable. Love her.
May 15, 201015 yr Member So I just checked itunes. I only recognize "Starr X'ed Lovers" out of all the songs. Where is Brody's song? The Pat Benator one? WTF.
May 15, 201015 yr Member The Pat Benatar one is the song Starr and Hannah sung at the end of Friday's episode.
