GH: May Discussion Thread

I think she looks pretty good for the most part. Better than the average person on the street certainly, but not a true beauty. I just meant that since being able to move one's face is a pretty big part of acting, you'd think an actress would want to at least wait until the first signs of aging were upon them before they jump on the botox train. I see it as a trade off. At some point aging will harm their careers given how sexist and ageist Hollywood has become, but botox can do the same. Why go there until the early 30's or so? I guess that's a question for DaytimeFan.

Oh, ITA. She is pretty but I guess I find her very "samey." When she first started, her resemblence to Genie Francis was astounding, as was her confidence on-screen. But her laziness as time went on, combined with the botox, has left me thinking of her as a rather empty, blank vessel, you know?

And I so agree about all those actresses who botox the life out of their faces. They jeopardize their careers without realizing it, because they think this is going to give them another five years of A-list career! I never thought Nicole Kidman was all that great to begin with, but she is pulled so tight and her lips pumped so full that she can barely talk when spoken to. I must say that a lot of Daytime's 30somethings look pretty good (give or take a few glaring exceptions). Laura Wright, Kelly Monaco, Kassie de Paiva look like themselves, are not afraid of a few frown lines and have been judicious with cosmetic procedures.

I've noticed it too. It's a shame given how young she is. You'd think an actress would want to put botox off as long as possible.

Some think that starting botox young can help slow down the development of wrinkles. Maybe thats why she is doing it.

When tears fall from her face, you can tell Julie is trying to emote. Others don't want to believe it, but they can see that she has had work done.

Jason is seriously considering killing Dante?

I certainly hope so! Dumbte is a loser who talks out of both sides of his face. Kill him now!

Yeah not seeing this supposed "work" JMB had done.

What the hell is Guza doing to Robin? Now she says something about that Michael was better off not being raised by the Q's.

Not buying what you're selling Guza <_<

At least, Jason apologized for the Michael nastiness. Jason simply cannot ever be wrong so Robin had to back down and claim that he was right when he was not.

I think she actually said that he might not have been better off being raised by the Q's. I don't know if she really meant it or if she was just trying to ease Jason's guilt but I kinda get the feeling its the latter.

I liked the Robin/Jason scenes despite everything. SB was trying. He always does well in scenes with KMc unlike his love interests and Carly. It always feels like Jason and Robin have a strong bond.

That was her position during her last year with Jason. She only changed her mind very late, and given that she does still have some fondness for Jason and Sonny, it might be OOC if she suddenly changed her view. The show is never going to say that Michael was better off being raised by the Quartermaines. Not after all the times they used AJ as the bogeyman in Michael's life.

ITA. I liked their scenes to....even though I usually don't like both of them. When together though, I find them to be sweet and things just seem to work with them. They were great scenes, I'm glad the Borg went to Robin instead of Sam or Carly.

He reminds me a little of Burl Ives (if anyone here knows who that is). Burl Ives played Big Daddy in the movie version of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.

Hot Tin Roof, Streetcar, and A Raisin in the Sun... my idea of great weekend.

LuLu is a sanctimonious bitch. I can't stand her or Dante anymore.

The show has been surprising me, because for the first time in mooooooonths, I agreed with EVERYTHING Maxie said, to Lulu. I totally LOVE and AGREE with the things Carly is saying to Lulu, and I think Laura Wright is killing it.

Sonny hasn't been bothering me either, and for ONCE i think his anger towards the world is justified, and his lashing out at Dumbte has kept me happy.

can't wait to see who's paying off the judge

Regarding Friday's show, ok that was a pretty good ending. I was crying a little bit. But not for Michael, but the way that whole ending was orchestrated, I thought GH did a great job. All of the actors were selling the story, and had real tears coming out of their eyes. Especially Laura Wright. Kudo's to them, the ending was really great..

Shrewlu has become a joke. I get she wanted to stand by Dante, but then again..what Spencer puts Law and Order over the street??

The Lante scene was hot, a lot more risque than GH usually is....but I'm not as much into Lulu and Dante as I used to be. Anyone notice how they blurred out Lulu's boobs a few times? LOL.

Any thoughts on nuMorgan? I like him. A lot more better IMO than the last one, actually. I like this guy, oh and he kind of looks like Max Giambetti LOL.

one thing I noticed was the voice over guy keeps on saying "the part of Morgan is being played" instead of "now being played". So maybe the other one is coming back when he's done with his pilot or whatever. I really honestly kind of hope not. But thats just me lol

They took away my joke about Lulu and Dante being Heidi Montag and Larry from Three's Company :(

I do not DISLIKE NuMorgan, but I really liked the other one. This one is cute, he kind of looks like a really young version of Josh Peck.

I noticed that about the voiceover too...And I wondered the same thing. I am not really concerned about NuMorgan, I like him...But I wouldn't be opposed to the last one returning, because I LOVED him.

LuLu is a joke. I hate her, and can't wait for Carly's attempts to destroy Lante.

And dear lord Jesus, when is this SKye storyline going to start? And why hasn't she had ANY scenes with Edward or Monica? UGH.
