Dallas having a different production company is a hinderance. I remember one of the housewives (LeeAnne, I believe) mentioning that because of this production of the franchise is vastly different from the others. Here are all of the production companies of all current franchises:

  • The Real Housewives of Atlanta: True Entertainment (via Endemol)
  • The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Evolution Media
  • The Real Housewives of Dallas: Goodbye Pictures
  • The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Sirens Media
  • The Real Housewives of New York: Ricochet
  • The Real Housewives of Orange County: Evolution Media & Dunlop Entertainment
  • The Real Housewives of Potomac: True Entertainment (via Endemol)

I'm saddened by this. It was my first Tuesday night home in forever... and it was not even on.

Yeah, there was no sign of Bravo saying there would be a break. And they had already released sneak peeks. So I'm sure originally they were going to air it.

I don't feel anything has been said that would need re-editing so it does feel like a random choice or maybe to spread episodes out.

But I feel that's weird too. NY I believe is getting 20 episodes this year (Sidenote: Kathy said BH is getting 21)...so *shrugs*

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, was really excellent this year and the reunion was juicy as two of the cast members (apparently) are having a baby...and no longer together. The Below Deck franchise has brought Bravo some very strong ratings and it performs the best in the demos.

Loving that Potomac trailer...Bravo knows this show is having its moment and are publicizing it appropriately.

RHOMelbourne: I saw someone on Twitter said they read those posts in Janet's voice - and I did too before even reading that comment! She must be clashing with the newbies.

RHONY has been struggling in the ratings so why not let if air after the highly rated Below Deck reunion to give it some buzz? Why not hype Bershan’s arrival so fans know something fresh is coming if they aren’t thrilled with what they’re seeing? It’s like they’ve given up on this season to be honest.

Yes.

I am truly disgusted by Bravo trying to paint her as some victim when her talking heads tell otherwise.

Also, Rinna being wedged up Erika's a** is grating. This is the same trout mouth bimbo that had no issue taking LVP, Kim, and Denise to task b/c they were honest to her liking, but we're supposed to believe that she believes Erika's blatant lies? Whatever. I think this is gonna blow up in everyone's face at the end of the day.

RHOBH

Erika: she laid it on really thick. Her performance was Oscar worthy. Very well done. However, we know Tom 'loaned' her company $20 million dollars. And we know the lavish life she's lived on someone else's dime. The only thing that gave me pause was that clip they showed of Tom snapping at both LVP and Erika a few years ago - they'd never showed that clip uncut like that, and it certainly highlighted an ugly side of Tom's personality.

Crystal: The Bravo editors are NOT letting her get away with this foul sh*t and are showing the truth. Crystal must be new at this, so when she said that she didn't want to talk about it, and the editors ROLLED THAT FOOTAGE of Crystal running her mouth and growing that story every single time she told it, I knew who those Bravo editors believe. Sutton kept herself in control and did not let off Crystal in front of all the women, which was smart of her.

Sutton: She sees Crystal. She's called it: she's a mean girl. She's a highschool mean girl. I appreciated that she made damn sure to let Crystal know that comments about Sutton's mental health, when Crystal knows Sutton's father died by suicide, will not be tolerated and are unacceptable. I also like that she let it be known that Crystal's comments are defamatory.

Kyle: It's interesting that she didn't jump on Crystal's story and instead backed up Sutton and squashed whatever Dorit thought she was going to do stirring that story up. Her impression of Kathy's 'shorthand' was hilarious. This is Kyle's best season. I still know she's Vile Richards, but Kathy being there really highlights her light, funny side.

Kathy: Hilarious.

Rinna: Did nothing but cackle. I wonder how Rinna Beauty is doing?

Dorit: Did nothing.

Garcelle: Calm, cool, and always collected. I so enjoy her.

Chile, Kyle, Kathy AND Crystal looked like they was one step away from saying they don’t know nobody named Erika lmao! The body language in this clip KILLED me!

@DaytimeFanEverything you said was spot on! Erika was playing an entirely new character this week and it was a performance fit for a porno. Did you notice how starting with the scene with Rinna getting drinks she was so engaged and bubbly? That is when I truly knew I couldn’t believe anything she said. Where was the ice Queen? That screamed of trying to keep her diamond.

I also agree with you on Sutton/Crystal and I’m glad Sutton so far has been able to catch onto what she’s doing. Crystal is very clever and makes sure to say inflammatory things to Sutton in private and I notice she takes the women to the side in groups to talk [!@#$%^&*] about Sutton. That’s intentional. She can gauge the reaction of each lady to see how far she can spin the story based on how they react. As we saw, it worked with Dorit. I completely understand how she’s so close with Teddi.

    • Bingo! I thought the exact same thing. Martin's anger feels so out of place, because we've hardly seen him interact with his parents. Vernon and him have more of a father/son relationship and we've seen their dynamic more fully play out. While obviously Ted and Marton are father and son, it felt a bit empty because we haven't really seen them bond or truly connect in any scenes.
    • Leslie inferred over 20 years ago, so Eva and Kat are over 20 at least
    • As it happens, 40 years ago this week, ABC and CBS revealed their 1985-86 fall schedules. NBC revealed theirs the week before. ABC's would end up changing. The original plan for Tuesdays was to have Diff'rent Strokes lead the night, with He's the Mayor at 8:30, followed by Who's the Boss at 9, Growing Pains at 9:30, and Moonlighting at 10. There was some surprise over MacGruder & Loud not getting renewed, but it was considered part of Aaron Spelling's declining influence at the network. Yes, Dynasty was still a hit (for a while longer), but Aaron's shows steadily took up less and less of the schedule. Fall 1984: Seven hours, five of which were new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, Glitter, Matt Houston, T.J. Hooker, The Love Boat, Finder of Lost Loves; MacGruder & Loud aired at midseason, by which time Glitter was gone.). Fall 1985: Five hours, two of which were new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, The Colbys, Hollywood Beat, The Love Boat). Fall 1986: Three-and-a-half hours, a half-hour of which was new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, The Colbys, Life With Lucy). Fall 1987: Two hours, none of which was new programming (Dynasty and Hotel; HeartBeat premiered at midseason). Fall-winter 1988: Two hours, none of which was new programming (Dynasty and HeartBeat). This led to Variety's infamous shady headline in spring 1989: "Aaron's Dynasty Over"
    • I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
