@Chris B Peacock already posted the latest Miami episode??

@Taoboi Yes, that was a truly lovely moment, and Andy seemed touched by it. Mama Elsa was such a great presence on OG Miami!

I loved Marysol saying she always had a sense of humor, but that was never really focused on in the early seasons. I do remember instances where Marysol gave some great quips. This gem was from S2: "Karent the carrier pigeon comes swooping in. I unroll the message from her leg. And it reads: ‘You’re in trouble for wearing fur’. ”

And then this one from S3 at Adriana's wedding: "When [Lisa] first comes in, she's like--" (snootily) " 'Helloooo Marysolllllllll.' And I was like, Oh, we're going to do that? Come on. Pour a cocky and get over it."

Oh! ETA: a Mama Elsa memory. At S2 reunion, Mama Elsa told Joanna "I'm a very good friend, but a very bad enemy." Karent tried to pipe up in defense, and Mama Elsa turns to her and growls: "I'm not talking to you, Number Three!"

Yes! The new episode is up and I wish they were kind and had given us two episodes this week. I cannot WAIT! Also, I give up and must admit that Larsa has completely won me over this season. Yes she's vapid and didn't need the makeover, but she isn't as mean as she was when she had Cristy at her hip. She went off this week, but she was defending herself.

As for Mary, I'm not sure. In the Twitter Spaces I watched, she said that she is willing to do a one-on-one with Andy and mentioned that she's in discussions with production. Her biggest issue wasn't so much with the cast or what they were discussing (although she cried about the cult rumors), but with production. She said she had filmed scenes doing charity work and showcasing her other businesses, but this was left out so they could push the church cult rumors. She didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to show more of her life and felt it was unfair. She even mentioned a charity event she threw that they didn't show. It seemed like she was open to coming back, but she didn't seem to be sweating it either.

@Cat yes. For all of Andy's many flaws, he genuinely liked Mama Elsa. So I have to get soft over that scene for sure.

Oooooooooooo tea!!!

Boring stuff perhaps (thought I'm sure Mary would have kept it interesting given some of the best SLC one on one scenes were Mary scenes with surprise family members), but would prove that she was showing her life if they were shown. Humanizing her a lot. That's shame really.

Miami:

Alexia enables her son Peter while Marysol enables Alexia.

Adriana needs to go away

Nicole talking about mean girls and queen bees then saying 'that isn't what groups are like'...and I'm like 'are you new here '?

SLC

Jen (and Meredith did as well) speaks...

Also hinted that due to her speaking out, Jen might not be returning for Season 3.

Meanwhile....

WTF?? I am no fan of Jen Shah, but her statement was absolutely spot-on! She didn't denigrate Jennie personally, except to say that her apology was disingenuous (which it was), and instead focused on the impact on her husband and sons. I thought it was the best thing Jen has ever said publicly.

Bravo is punishing the wrong person here. Why are they bending over backwards to protect Jennie anyway?? She's a newbie, practically a FOH compared to the rest of the cast. And this is all publicity for a show which still has fledgling ratings. Turn on your [!@#$%^&*] cameras and milk this like the soulless money-makers that you are, Bravo!

I stopped watching OC because of Kelly for a season, I will have no problem not watching SLC if Jennie is truly brought back. I’ll only tune in for whatever episode Jen goes to jail.

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
