Around Miami and most of season 4, Nene was highly unlike able. The season 4 reunion and her talking heads this season I feel like brought her back to the Nene of old. Also not leading the charge in the craziness between the women has done wonders for her. She seems to genuinely love watching these women act like she did in previous seasons. All she and Andy needed was some popcorn during the first half of the reunion.

A major part of being a Queen is being able to acknowledge other folks' successes and being able to be genuinely happy for them without feeling the least bit threatened.

Andy may want to act as if the moose hadn't acted as ugly as she did towards Wig, Kandi, and Phaedra, but I never bought her "zen"/Big Sister Gorgeous One demeanor post-Season 4 for a second.

Nene was atrocicuiys season 3.

As doe the Atlamta reunion, I am gonna say Pharda AND Porsha owned Ms Moore. That whole silent is the best weapon spin is bull vuz Kenta sure was running off at the mouf with Porsha UNTIL Porscha busted her in lies LOL. And Porsha delivered it lovely by asking Kenya what does she have against the actual 1st Black Miss USA that she doesnt acknowledge her, and u can see that Ms Moore wass like "oh shiot", even Nene gave Porsh props for that LOL. That was the time Kenya shouldve spoke up imo.

Tho I did love the fan LOL.

I actually liked her ignoring Porsha and making her irrelevant. The most important thing Kenya said is that she is the reason Porsha is anything on this show and that's true. I look forward to the next two parts, which I feel will help unravel the mirage Porsha was selling about her pitcher perfect marriage.

They had their highest rated reunion episode Sunday with 3.6 million wonder if it can break 4 million again in one of the other two parts.

Not there was any doubt Apollo did an interview with some magazine saying he and Phaedra are locked in for next season and they are fan favs. I'm sure we will get the exact same cast as I've seen that Porsha is coming back now that the divorce stuff is happening.. though in one of Bravo's press releases announcing BH and ATL renewals it said they were actively casting for both shows so maybe 1 new woman to make the cast 7?

    • I also wonder if it was considered controversial at the time to show a morally corrupt doctor?(another character troupe for Agnes Nixon, the upstanding male citizen who is hiding secrets back at home) Up until the early 1970s, prime-time would very rarely tell stories about the private lives of doctors, because advertisers tended to shy away from such content.
    • The only blonde I see is one of the actual women staring at first & then screaming & running later.  DAYS: Vivian's manservant Ivan is in a long curly red wig.

Y&R: long straight black wig is the actor Peter Barton whose character name I am blanking on.
    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
