I'll stick with Nixon's vision. Rauch's OLTL would not work today. And OLTL can survive without Todd. We barely have him now as it is.

Yeah, Doyen you know your OLTL but the Rauch era fell into such an awful mess by 1990, I don't think ti could ever return now. It's interesting because in a way the show has been the most plot driven lately as it has since his time.

Carl I know at first you liked Mitch's return but I think he's becoming as much as an ever present boogieman as he was under Malone. I still think Carlivati has talent, I still enjoy the show far more than under Higley, it's just, as Leia says, with all this talent there's so much done that just makes you shake your head in bafflement.

I love this campy stuff!!! As a huge Sunset Beach and Passions fan, I miss campy material. I cannot wait for sweeps....it's gonna get insane (I hope).

Sunset was good camp. Passions was bad camp (camp IMHO becomes bad when the show works SOO hard to be campy that it just become a chore to watch--you can't force camp ). I dunno, it sure makes the show feel schizo to me.

LOL...Toups...The ending with Mitch yelling....geez...was sooooooo bad.

The cliffhanger with John getting shot was awful.

I was glad the show was over.

But John didn't get shot. Didn't Brody pass him the fake blood in the hallway?? I agree...I'd rather he really be shot...but still.

Mitch is definitely over-the-top crazy, but whether you like him or hate him, the story has at least got people talking about him.

I know, right? I'm with Robin Strasser: you have to be careful what you're sending into people's homes. Viewers don't need misinformation to reinforce negative opinions they might hold already.
