Members Darn
Oh god, this makes my stomach hurt. I LOVED Palmer and James was just constantly, consistently fantastic. R.I.P.
Members Wendy
This is so sad. But how fortunate we were to see James one last time for AMC's 40th Anniversary. I'll forever remember Palmer messing with my favorite AMC couple, Cliff and Nina. I loved to hate Palmer. And yet, he had his tender side with Daisy and Opal. He will be terribly missed. AMC had better honor the man.
Members Paul Raven
James has been a part of soaps since the early 60's on Edge of Night(Lloyd)-that role is on YouTube and then as Julian for the 5 year run of Where The Heart Is. Hopefully AMC will do a tribute episode.Imagine all of Palmer's wives returning!
Members dragonflies
Ooh this sounds good. How many wives did Palmer have? Does he have any other kids besides Nina and Petey?
Members Jonathan
Ross. We've talked about Ross a lot on this board lately. Good way to bring him back. Palmer doesn't have as many ex-wives as Adam, though. Daisy Natalie Opal Vanessa Who else?
Members Wendy
Ross Chandler. Adam's sister, Lottie, was his mother.

Members LoyaltoAMC
Ah, this is very sad. Tearing up a bit. Glad he was able to make an appearance for the anniversary show. The show will DEFINITELY do a tribute for him. This is totally unlike the Louis Edmonds (Langley) situation. James was still a presence on the show and, like Ruth Warrick, obviously well-regarded by ABC to keep him on contract for so long without being well enough to appear. Taylor Miller will definitely be back. Possibly Gillian Spencer and Brian Gaskill and maybe even Candi Earley? James and Peter Bergman were great friends til the very end, but would CBS/Sony let him appear on AMC? Are these types of appearances even allowed? Jerry ver Dorn wanted to appear on the last episode of GL, but ABC said no dice.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
RIP, James. Palmer at his peak was always one of my favorite AMC characters.
Members AllMyDaysatGH
I hope they do a tribute episode. Such a great part of the shows history, as Stuart, Myrt, and Ruth all were. I truly hope a tribute is given. I'm already seeing the look on Opal's face... R.I.P James Mitchell
Members dragonflies
D'oh I can't believe I forgot about Ross. Thanks Loved to hate Palmer back when I started watching, I always loved when and Adam would team up to take down a common enemy
Members Jonathan
Yes, now that Jill Larson is back on contract, the show shouldn't shy away from writing some good material for her regarding Palmer's death, if this is the direction they go in.
