Brian Mertes? Is this his first time listed as director for GH?

I looked up his IMDB and he is credited with GL and ATWT.

I noticed that too. He started out on ATWT but not as a director. He then moved on to GL where he directed. Once GL was cancelled he went back to ATWT and directed some episodes and now he pops up at GH.

Maybe he was helping the show in LA at the Contemporary Arts Museum (MOCA) last month. Are there any on-location scenes on today's episode of GH?? Or maybe he did join the show. I think it was after ATWT wrapped up, so maybe he jumped to GH after that.

All James Franco scenes were directed by Owen Renfroe(IIRC).

Oh yeah thats right..I remember reading in SOD he was the main Director at the shoot. I guess Toups will have more info on the Brian Mertes development.

All James Franco scenes were directed by Owen Renfroe(IIRC).

Renfroe must've been influenced by the '60's series "Batman" as a child b/c the only things missing from today's scenes were Adam West, Bert Ward and giant, brightly colored title cards with words like "POWWWW!" and "BOFF!!!!" on them.

I'm not surprised. Jilly's golden boy from OLTL.

I, personally, would've went the Scott McKinsey route, but whatevs.sleep.gif

Just a little tidbit for Y&R... looks like Michael Montgomery is back to writing scripts. He was credited in the July 27 episode.

TOUPS: Would you be able to find out which breakdown writer(s) penned the US broadcast of Y&R on July 23 and July 30. Despite some stupid stories..I thought both breakdowns were exceptionally well written.

Thanks!!

Hey Toups... here is a little additional info for your Sunset Beach archives:

Robert Guza Jr. was last listed as head writer on October 21, 1997, and Meg Bennett started the following day October 22, 1997. This is 100% accurate info.

I already have that info. ;)

I just don't have exact dates from Bennett/Whitesell to MDP/Whitesell. I believe it was right after Shockwave ended though.
