Hey we all know it's common to reward mediocrity. I'm still wondering how Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar for Skakesphere in Love over Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth and Meryl Streep in One True Thing or beat Saving Private Ryan for Best Picture.

Apologies to anyone who liked the film and felt the movie and actress deserved these awards.

Actually in all fairness to Y&R they actually have some stuff to pick from. Some of the material surronding Katherine's death was really good, and her funeral one of them.

AMC. No clue at all. The last good stuff IMO was the material surrounding Jessie's return and the remarriage of Angie and Jessie.

Primetime and features are a different situation. There, I think, I value it more than the Emmy.

The Guild during and post strike has become a mockery, too. Just read all the blogs from established writers and Guild members. I mean - they failed to prosecute Dena Higley! Who the hell is Dena Higley to have such protection from certain actions?
