Good for DAYS. This was the last slow week before all the hell starts, so I was little afraid they will fall more. From this week on the show should be amazing, so I hope we will see some nice grow.

Also congrats to GH. The show always manages to rise just as sweeps starts.

Way to go As The World Turns! I am hoping the upward trend continues next week.

Me too. If they could only get to that 2.0 mark.

The shootings were on Thursday. Was there further coverage the next day? Perhaps people tuned into the news channels instead? Just guessing.

Wow look at OLTL. Not a great way to begin sweeps. B) Fortunately RC doesn't feel the need to concern himself with math.

I'm not sure if any of the soaps are in a great position for sweeps, especially on ABC. AMC seems to be going back down and GH should have done much better for two of the most pivotal weeks of the entire year (JJ's return, Claudia being exposed).

OLTL has some great moments but the overall show, especially the tone, can be offputting, and so is the method of storytelling and pacing and the way the lead characters are portrayed. I guess one could argue about which story does or does not bring in the ratings, but I don't know if any of that would make a difference. I just wish they hadn't botched their main stories so badly at the start of this year, because I think that turned a lot of viewers away and halted the momentum they had built up again.

I do hope the ratings go up, as I'd like to see it stay on the air and continue a few of the stories I am enjoying (Mitch's return, and Kyle/Fish Cris/Layla, even though I know a lot of people don't like that story, especially given the days of the 1.8 ratings).

Cancellation Avenue is not very far. You can just see it now.

Frons was implying the show would be canceled even when their numbers were higher than GH or AMC. I wouldn't look at the current ratings for that. If it happens it's going to happen no matter what.

OLTL has been turning tricks on the corner of Cancellation Avenue and Overrated Boulevard for a long time now.

Nice to see ATWT go up but it needs to hit 2.0 soon.

Yeah I agree, but I want it at a 2.2 so it can get renewed. I think that was the magic number it might be lower now. If ATWT keeps going up in November sweeps then it might get renewed with whatever number it has. If that's really true I think it might be cause Lynn Herring ex Audrey Coleman said they need people to tune in for November sweeps.

I wish the show would SLOW DOWN and play some emotional beats. RC drives plot at the expense of character. It's a very hard show to track. Plus, could some of the actors on this show take some acting lessons: Rex, Gigi for starters. Yawn.

I believe 2.1 was the magic number. Funny thing is if ATWT gets cancelled it will probably hit a 2.2 or higher the last week of airing. If ATWT brings in the good stories ATWT could easily be in the 2's.

A big word!! Yet soaps in general keep hiring awful actors like JPL and FF.
