I understand about Jack's reaction---but he's a cop. You wouldn't expect him to screech out in horror a split second after seeing Brad's face.

Re: Pissy/"transformations" of characters---IMO, it's called fitting a character into a plot. Alison is an extreme example, but the ex-porn star is now practically a prude when it comes to sex. Why? Because it's a lame way to create drama for the character. Don't even get me started on the rewrites of Craig---they still drive me nuts. Although I get a kick out of this Spade and Neutered version at times.

I must really hate Janet---even her prayer to the Blessed Mother annoyed the living crap out of me.

Otherwise, I thought today was a solid episode. The re-staging of the shooting annoyed me a little, but there was an ever growing sense of doom throughout the episode.

Henry and Maddie finally got a scene together.

Poor Jack---slowly starting to lose it as Brad's condition hits him and he felt his own guilt mounting.

And I appreciated the tension between Casey and Margo. He takes her distraction personally, when it's probably all due to her focus on the case.

Sigh...the one nitpick I really had was how good Peck looked while Brad's dying...geez, all he has to do is lie there looking pale, and he manages to screw that up.

I found Janet praying a bit funny.

I also didnt care for the re-staging of the shooting. I liked seeing Henry and Maddie too and I cant wait for Jack to start unraveling. I noticed the tension between Margo and Casey. I miss Adam.

Brad looked like he was sleeping. Tomorrow's show should be good.

I found Jan's flyin' boobs funny. They looked like two hippety-hops under her shirt.

I wish they'd have staged the shooting that way on Friday. I really don't understand how/why that either slips by continuity or gets redone when "the budget" is so tight.

If they were going to show the shooting again I wish it had been the same as Friday. Jennifer Pepperman was today's director. I thought Habib Azar directing for the shooting was better than her direction today. Although I usually prefer Pepperman's direction over Azar's. There really wasnt no need to redo the shooting. But this reminds me of the good old days when ATWT would reshow/reshoot the cliffhanger from Friday all over again.

Okay, I have to admit that I was grabbing the Kleenex today (and I didn't even like the Brad character!). Terri and Michael were phenomenal, with Trent close behind. I can't wait until Katie realizes her last husband killed her current husband. An A++++ show.

I don't exactly know why, but people are suckers for death scenes. I thought today was stellar. Bob and Kim added the perfect touch to the situation---Bob thanking Henry for the hug after Brad awoke was priceless.

I could have done without Babs and Audrey, but only because I really think the entire eppy should have been about the Snyders family coming together in this crisis. Emma wringing her hands over Bradley would have had me in tears.

I really loved today's episode. Now THAT is what I'm talking about, Terri! I'd love for her to submit herself for Supporting Actress and I feel like she would take that award. And being honest, she's very much a supporting actress, especially this year. She kicked ass today as did everyone else. Julie Pinson and Michael Park are doing amazing work. I love that Bob and Kim were the vets chosen to be featured in this episode. I've always loved Kim's relationship with Brad and adding a couple vets adds texture to an episode.

My only problem and we'll see in the coming days, is the lack of Katie's family. Right now Margo and Craig are on canvas, plus Casey, Tom, etc. But the show has always neglected Katie's family ties. If I didn't know better I'd think she was a retconned legacy child or just a stand alone character. We know that this is going to be all about Jack, but Katie deserves better. I want Craig and Margo focused on Katie. I want Cricket at least mentioned. Lyla should DEFINITELY be there and will be the glaring absence in this story. This is Katie's biggest drama, plus she had her first child. Wouldn't Lyla want to be there for that? Now normally we could argue they have little money, but for Jack's part of the story you have four or five people coming back. Not to mention most of his family around on the show. That's poor money management and one-sided.

Just a wow show especially the ending. I was in tears too and can't stand Brad or Katie...LOL. The ending really killed me. I loved that Audrey and Barbara were included in this eppy. I lobster loved the Margo and Barbara scenes at the police station. It was awesome seeing Bob and Kim included too. Of course this story is about Jack and part of it should be. I guess Ive seen so much of Katie the last couple of years that her not being central of the show doesnt bother me like it does you Chris. But I agree Lyla needs to be back for the funeral. I have a feeling they are going to say they couldnt find her.

Great acting by everyone involved in today's eppy.

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
