Judi Evans is a fine performer. I don’t blame her for the Beth characterization or how poor Beth was blind and helpless or how she was overly-infatuated with Lujack, There’s a clip from one of the intros above that starts with an explosion and a blinded Beth looking helpless and calling out for Lujack. That’s pretty much Beth in a nutshell.

That intro shows the sudden change in GL at that time to keep "pace" with GH...(though GL was doing just fine in the ratings...) it goes from a mix of vets and new characters having romance and family moments to mostly young and newbies and explosions, kicking in doors, slapping, punching pushing and other "action" moments.

I think this episode is already up. But in poor quality. It's fun to see early Reva. There isn't much of Kelly online from this time. Really like Hillary, Katie, Kelly and Floyd and even Lesley Ann. Pam Long had a good handle on the characters she inherited. A shame Gail Kobe got rid of so many wonderful character's. The scenes with Lesley Ann were very powerful.

      Leslie having the nerve to show up at the Dupree House was pure insanity. Bill being revealed to be more ruthless than anyone would have thought was a good development. I have to imagine that will change Dani's view of wanting him back. The whole reveal was well done and Trisha Mann-Grant owned those scenes. That was most definitely material for an Emmy submission reel.

      I agree, all the Guys Tux were nice. I like how they differ from each other and all stylish in a way. Awe, same. Can not believe I actually have enjoying a current daytime soap. Rewatching these episodes over the weekend as a jump back into Ryan's Hope and Santa Barbara. Agreed! Exciting times.

      yes I thought of the Renee party... But this is different because I'm talking specifically about the revealer convincing someone else to throw the party.  And the someone else complies, having no idea what the revealer plans. I'm wondering if Michele Val Jean did a first with BTG in 2025. But the BTG thread is already so busy -- that I thought it important to *NOT* clog it up with discussing this, so I brought the question here instead. That way, if other reveals come up in conversation, it's not a problem on this "general retro soap" thread.

      She is diabolical! Remember in this scene she offered Martin a brownie which seemed so random? In this episode its revealed that when he was a kid, Ted used to bring him to a restaurant where the waitress would give him brownies....that waitress was Leslie. She was playing games and trying to jog his childhood memory
