Members danfling
Sheila MacRae, who appeared on Search for Tomorrow in a role written for Cher, has died. Her daughter, Heather MacRae was in the casts of both A World Apart and One Life to Live.
Members Khan
Thanks, danfling! I always thought they re-casted with Michelle Phillips. I had no idea Sheila MacRae was on SEARCH.
Members robbwolff
Phillips did replace Cher in the role after Cher bowed out. That was in 1983. McRae played another character in 1984. In We Love Soap's obit for McRae, Marcia McCabe (Sunny Adamson) reminisces about McRae and her role as Hogan McCleary's literary agent.

Members amybrickwallace
Yeah, I was going to say she was probably on her way out the door by that point.
Members sungrey
This is late fall 1983, I believe... the brief snippet of Days is Eugene having visions of what appears to be Trista, the woman he married before she was killed by the Salem Slasher.
Members amybrickwallace
Who was the brunette woman who walked in screaming? Getting back to SFT, it probably was 1983 because I think that's when Wendy did officially hook up with Warren Carter (Michael Corbett). I think they'd been having a thing on the sly before that, as he had been married at that time to her stepsister, Suzi.

Members amybrickwallace
I never understood why Marcia McCabe never got another really good soap role after SFT. I know she had short-term gigs on AW and ATWT, but nothing of substance. She would have been (and still could be) an asset on any soap.
Members slick jones
Her role of Alicia Grande was too short, also. I would've rather seen her last longer on OLTL.
