The Lily and Cane story feels manipulative rather than organic. I don't think the actors are doing a terible job, but I just don't feel what I am supposed to feel. Part of it is likely the pacing, but the other part feels that the writers are not writing this story as a sincere look at how a young woman deals with cancer and her own mortality, but it is just a way to redeem Cane as he becomes the best husband in the world.

I still think that Ryder is lying to Kevin about being his brother. If Tom was away as much as Gloria claims, would Kevin still be a screwed up as he is today? Kevin should have shown Ryder a picture of a random man and see if his response was the same. I don't think of Lauren and Micheal as part of the Fisher(-Baldwin) clan and that's a compliment.

I should be thinking that Colleen belongs with JT and his marriage to Victoria was just a roadblock, but I don't. To me Colleen looks like another woman desperate for a man. I don't know if it's the writing or Tammin, but it looks like Colleen thinks of JT as a last resort because she has no one else. It's almost as if the Jolleen history with Adrienne's Colleen was gone. I thought that Adrienne's Colleen had outgrown JT. When I was watching the previews i was hoping that Victoria would smack Colleen upside down the head.

Ashley says her family is manipulating her but doesn't think Victor is doing the same?

Is Daniel Romalatti finally growing a brain?

Why hasn't Patty Jane been running around with blond hair since she went on the lamb. It's like one day, three weeks too late, it finally dawned on the dipsticks in control that maybe she should have blond hair. I think the writers are the ones who should be sent to the asylum.

Yes, "I shaved my head! And on my own terms!" (with a glowing smile of joy). Really? Really? Folks, I'm LIVING with cancer patients...and they do NOT react like that. Sandra Weintraub screwed up on that scene, and CKLily brought NOTHING to it.

Actually, Graziadei claimed this was HIS storyline...the reason he re-signed. He didn't want to be just "standing around holding Amber's purse". Well, this story...specifically Daniel's HISTRIONICS...have turned me from a fan to someone who is always mildly irritated when he is on screen. I really liked Graz in the beginning, but now I feel he should move on.

Yes, I think P3 should become like Brock or Traci. I agree.

On another note, I'm irritated that the writers aren't drawing parallels between Shawn-Lauren-Paul and Deacon-Amber-Daniel. Back in the day, Shawn forced Lauren to leave Paul...or he'd kill Paul He also forced Lauren to sleep with him, divorce Paul, etc. Lauren recorded that song "Forever" to try to secretly convey to Paul that she still loved him...but he was too clueless to realize until much later...when he and Andy found Lauren buried alive.

Lauren DID sleep with a man to save the love of her life. How nice it would have been, in her scenes with Amber, if she'd said "Honey, I have totally walked a mile in your moccasins! Let me tell you, there was this guy.... And from the benefit of my experience, you should stay away from Deacon and...".

The show cannot claim to honor its history if it ignores such obvious historical ties. Especially because the Shawn Garrett story was a Y&R classic.

I have to agree, that CK has not done this story justice, but I'm not surprised either. They should have given this story to someone else, why they insist on using her so much, I'll never understand.

It's so obvious that Deacon is the one behind all of this Ryder/Kevin sh!t. I was just beginning to like Amber especially with Kay but she's back to being the same stupid character in this crappy art storyline. They love to regress these characters but moreso the women than the men. I have to also agree with whomever said that Graz should have just moved on.

I also have to agree with you about the JT/Colleen scenes and I think that it's a bit of both Sursok and the writing. It does appear as if Colleen is desperate by her measly attempts at JT and his backing away from her; yay for him! Colleen seems to be so out of his league now as he appears to be acting like an adult and she's acting like a teenager and even fessing up to her teen sister about the kiss. Can they make Colleen any more stupid?

I don't think there is one single storyline that I care about anymore so perhaps this post should have been in the other thread...

This week surely is the worst this show can get, right? I think for as long as I've been watching this show, this week has to be one of the WORST in Y&R's history. Granted, to me, most of the show sucks anyway, but the storylines being showcased this week are the worst of the worst.

It's time for a new writing and producing regime people....

I still believe that Graz is on his way out at the end of his contract. He only signed a one year contract, that says it all.

It looks like they are trying to make Tammin click in the role. I think she is a good actress, she's just a horrible Colleen.

It doesn't help that Tammin looks like she is the same age as Haley Erin and a decade younger than Thad. They probably could make her dumber, so don't put that out there!
