IMO there are a handful of actors that TPTB really should not be giving the opportunity to move to LA, but rather they should be looking at getting rid of in the next couple of months. Denise Vasi in particular. I gather that once someone makes the move they will be safe for quite some time. Is Brittany Allen really working out well enough for them to make that kind of commitment to her?

Or maybe I'm wrong and TPTB would fire someone a couple of months after the move without a second thought.

Is this whole Jesse-protects-Randi/Frankie gets the wrong idea thing Pratt's "subtle" way of doing the Jesse/Randi storyline that supposedly got killed?

Marissa looks and acts like an "American Girl" doll. I can see absolutely no redeeming value. Mia and Becca Tyree had more selling points as a character. Maybe Tina Harding did, too. Who is she [!@#$%^&*] BTS? Unless this character is revealed to be a Mary Jane Benson/Patrick Bateman-style cannibal serial killer, there's no reason to keep her.

Denise Vasi was a special kind of aweful today! My heart went out to DM because she had to guide the poor thing with body language and eye movement. At any moment, I fully expected Vasi to ask, "is it my turn" or deliver her next line "don't ask any questions about me, stay out of Frankie's ear...storm off towards exit".

God, she was aweful! Great to see no Zendull, but unfortunately, with the exception of Angie and Frankie, there were no rootable characters on today. Tad is a mess! Jake and Amanda have no appeal, and David is a loathesome creature who needs to get back with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Slug, and get off my screen!

I'm relieved to finally have a Zzzendull-free day!

I love Jake/Amanda and like Tad/Taylor. It's nice when they're featured on the same day.

I loved having so much of Opal in this episode, although I didn't buy Joe coercing her into a physical when she insisted she had to leave. It just felt off to me.

I agree about Denise Vasi. She really needs to stay in New York and take some acting lessons when the show moves.

Stephanie Gatschet was terrific when Madison was laying into Jesse and hitting on Frankie; it's too bad TIIC didn't realize her potential and wasted her in the role of a woman who killed her husband and framed the police chief's daughter-in-law.

Shoudn't Joe be retired by now? They could've come up with a better way to stall Opal. Also, why didn't Opal just text Tad back with a "Don't drop off baby. I'm running late!" message? Ah, well, that's what this baby switching Flubsome Foursome deserve.

So many annoyances in this episode for me. Jesse, Randi, Tad, Taylor, Jake, Amanda, Madison... ugh!

Is the the actress who plays Natalia on contract? I hope she is because she is the only talented younger AA actress and is the one that AMC needs to feature. If she sticks around long enough, Pratt may finally wake up. Look how long it took for ABC to focus on Christell Stause and OLTL to give Layla the time of day.

Yay, no Zendall. Boo for Dead Baby Liars (great, in fact BRILLIANT plan, folks..really  ) and Tapioca Mabe.

This has crossed my mind from time-to-time as we go along.

I liked Angie's new 'do, too always. Makes her look so young and she already looks fab.

Loved how Debbi Morgan played Angie listening to Randi's BS as Dr. Hubbard is doing her background research for when she lets Jesse have it (though I doubt my happiness over Jesse being discovered will last).

Loved how gentle Jill Larson played Opal's chat with Randi. Lovely little bit of work, enjoyed her. Agree the Joe scene seemed out of nowhere.

Aaaaah, Vasi. What's left to say?

I think Stephanie Gatschet is interesting but is over-reaching in her portrayal. I've enjoyed Madison's bitchiness but she needs to dial it back a bit, imo. If I thought Madison was going to be around for awhile (just my spec), I'd wish she wasn't such a cartoon. But then few characters aren't cartoons these days.

OTH, I wish she would smack the fire out of Jesse the next time he grabs her arm and jerks her around. Gah!

    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.

    • I think they’re desperately trying to cover his awful tattoos. But anyway them being unable to style short kings properly has been a major pet peeve of mine for a while now.  I honestly don’t understand what some people expect from actors to even begin considering them for recognition. Let’s be real—awards mostly mean that an actor is respected by their peers and has some level of cultural relevance. Actual judgment on the acting itself? That’s often secondary—highly subjective and shaped by the times. I completely agree on both points. If you’re an actor or a dancer you shouldn’t get any tattoos (sorry not sorry). Tomas’ tattoos are ugly too. And regarding the couples- you’re completely right. These writers are unable to write romance.   Further comments: - Kat cannot be this dumb to keep tampering with evidence over and over again. And I’m officially not a fan of the actress—every time she’s in a scene with Leslie, she doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She plays it like comic relief, which is just too much, especially when paired with Leslie’s histrionics and over-the-top antics. Leslie is older, dangerous, and has literally been portrayed as homicidal—Kat should be at least a little scared. • I also didn’t like Kat playing damsel in distress with the hotel manager. It gave off the same weird energy as Dani with the cop. I would’ve much preferred the version Paul Raven suggested, with her sneaking in through housekeeping. • And yes, Dani again accused Hayley of faking the pregnancy—this time even specifying she might be using a pillow under her shirt. (No fake miscarriage being mentioned) I stand by my take: this is ridiculous writing. No one in the real world—except us, the chronically online soap watchers—would even think of such a conspiracy theory. Haley is no Beyoncé. • What in the world was Chelsea wearing in her hair the other day? And this whole thing with Madison is beyond cringe. Chelsea’s coming off as needy and toxic—basically like every other Dupree. • I’m glad the casino storyline is moving forward, but it’s still boring as hell. Honestly, I’d be so here for a plot twist where Vanessa and Doug take Joey out. • The direction and editing lately have been rough. Abrupt cuts, weird pacing… something just feels off overall. There’s a strange uneasiness to how it’s all coming together. • And finally: Tomas is too much of a saint. Where are the messy sluts when you need them? (Vanessa doesn’t count.)
