Oh gosh no. I can't stand SMG. Overrated. I know some people don't like Alicia's acting, but I prefer Alicia to SMG. Plus, I'm biased towards La Lucci and I know SMG and La Lucci had their issues. I don't want to see SMG anywhere near All My Children even if La Lucci is no longer part of the show.

I'm in the camp that hopes Alicia Minshew goes. (When is her baby due? Wouldn't she still be on maternity leave when AMC moves to LA). I used to love her, and her Kendall, but years of overexposure has tarnished the character's shine. This show needs a break from Kendall (and Zach, for that matter).

Although, I fear that ABC would easily let Haskell out of her OLTL contract so she could move with TK if that's what he chose. I think the network values TK more than SH.

Or maybe they'll give her a role on GH, heh.

Edit: Apparently I can't write today (Sunday cocktails were not a good idea. hrmph).

Oooh, I like this idea, though! I think SB would prefer to work for JHC over JFP. Remember she called JHC up for an AMC role (pre ATWT) but Frons nixed it?)

Alas, ABC wouldn't let SB leave GH. Whatev.

I don't think ABC will transfer TK and AM to OLTL. I think ABC's reasoning is that if they won't be around to benefit AMC, they won't waste money to keep them on a show that has trucked along fine without them. It's all about cutting costs, folks.

ALSO...this is expected but Bobbie Eakes confirms on her Facebook that she and her hubby are moving back to LA. She says that she is sad that many crew members will be out of work.

Is this for real? Why would ABC only want Sarah Brown on GH when she will end up playing the same Carly character when that character is already on the canvas? That makes little sense. I am already surprised that ABC took her back after her meltdown at the CBS chief. You would think that they would not want that kind of crazy in their house.

So Bobbie Eakes said that there will essentially be an entirely new crew in LA. So does the current crew not even have the option of going to LA in order to keep their job? I mean if one of the technical directors were to say "I'll move to LA and I'll pay my own way just to keep this job" he/she will be told to get stuffed?

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
