LMAO! TC has been aping the Pillsbury doughboy for years. My problem isn't so much his weight as the fact that he sleepwalks through most of his material (not that I blame him but, really. If Jane Elliot, John Ingle and Leslie Charleston can perk up with whatever crap they are given, so can he).

I will say that TC did bring it when Elizabeth held his face in her hands at the end of yesterday's episode. For the first time that day, TC was actually connecting with another actor on-screen. He looked almost hot, too.

I think Nik worked because of his connection to Laura and Stefan, though. TC came alive in his scenes with Genie Francis, Stephen Nichols (especially with SN!) and Jonathan Jackson. With them gone and GV's Lucky an afterthought, TC really has nobody to engage with.

Yeah, thinking about what he is going to eat next. He must eat to ease his boredom. Steve Burton does the same thing though he has manage to get some of those pounds off of late.

You are right. I didn't him credit for her because I read somewhere that Karen Harris and Patrick Mulcahey also played a major role in creating that bitch.

... or Kayla and Shane. It is one of the problems with soap operas. Eventually the writers run out of ideas and begin hook up everyone with everyone. This Nik/Liz thing reminds me of when Alan and Bobbie almost had an affair years ago. It was so ridiculous. I know some people talk about being open to new pairings to shake things up, but just because a couple is possible, it does not mean that it should be done. There needs to be boundaries or viewers start to roll their eyes in disbelief.

As a long time Elizabeth Webber/Becky Herbst fan I like the 'intrigued' of the storyline and its soapy.

however, if she is not going to be written "for" and continue to be written "against" then it will offer me minimal drama...Soap operas are based on this kind of thing its the nature of the genre for me. I don't get all jacked up. I don't look at couples on a soap opera as 'if they belong together/right or wrong (unless they're related by blood ties).'

My main purpose for daytime drama is good "storytelling"....GH only has a select few they'll write "for" currently. The rest of their cast heavy show their fans have to settle for the scraps they're given...if it puts her up front in story where's she's not baking brownies, bringing over casseroles and chanting what a great dad Lucky is in every other sentence of dialog...or Lucky wants, Lucky thinks, Lucky says....I really don't give a rat's tutu. They have already reverted her character back to this in one swipe of the pen.

Elizabeth use to be in action scenes and all that what along with it...GH doesn't allow that for all characters only two can do this now not even Lucky a policeman is in action scenes and rarely fires his gun or is in shoot-outs on the mob and anyone tagging along with them can do this now. Everybody is in their designated corners on this show.

But if they continue with this wimpy dialog and conversations as if they are in Jr high...then I see they aren't really being written "for" and there lies the rub on GH its not their stories,

its how they tell them

I've always liked Becky/Tyler acting off each other.

So it is what it is. The questions for me are why are they doing this and who gets thrown under the bus?

My thinking is the Nik/Rebecca storyline isn't all they had hoped so it needs propping to give it not only more angst which it doesn't need, Imo, but to gain sympathy for a con artist. Its pretty easy to see GH's formula motivations for doing this, plus Guza likes to pit brother against brother (e.g. Jason/AJ) since Matt/Patrick are on solid ground now; Rick's Ric Lansing vs Sonny is gone...Jerry who wasn't around much re: Jax;

poor Shmucks Nik/Lucky are the next one since Dante/Morgan and Michael is also playing out...Guza is not a hard one to figure out. He does the same thing he never waivers that's why most of the show bores me. I can predict what will happen..so why watch...

On GH that is what their stories do for me.

The first time the Elizabeth/Nik dialog was bad,the next time it was excellent but August 20th dialog was horrid it was if it was written for High School Musical for me....If the script writers step it up including Guza writing this well will depend on this.

This is more of the same, historic/iconic friendships that have been and are continuing to be systematically destroyed written against on GH e.g., "4 Muskateers" so they are just the latest....They really need to focus on the "writing" of this, but they won't for their fans.

That will make all the difference in the world rather a story flies Imo...Script writers are not being kind to this story....The August 20 eppy told me all I needed to know who winds up with skid marks....and it ain't the guys folks....

OK, so what's with the creepy carnival commercial? "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is uttered. I think this commercial is a symbol for something else. My guess: PC's latest crazed serial killer; possibly one who masquerades as a clown or some other figure that's associated with a carnival. Just a thought.
