Using Billy & Mackenzie to prop the mouth breathing ostrich Maria?

That's low.

It takes a damn fine actress to sell a whole scene of talking to herself. (Just ask any female cast member of DOOL) Stacy Haiduk somehow pulls it off. I hate the device, but she definitely makes it work better than most.

I love scenes with people talking to themselves. ;)

Loving Nina versus Billy/Jill. Although I do agree with Alvin - the reveal of Phillip being gay is being rushed like nobody's business. They have six months to tell this story - why are they doing everything in a handful of episodes??? Anybody else feel like we missed out on some Phillip/Nina scenes last week?

Yeah, these Philip scens have totally been botched. I can't believe they didn't follow up on the cliffhanger - it's soap writing 101! We missed out on Nina's reaction. Slow the fuck then and show everything!

I really wish Lauralee would come back for this story. Talking about her today - she really should have been a part of this. I hope it gets addressed at some point.

I wish Cricket was back too....at least for this storyline.

LOVED Katherine's "You took the coward's way out". Loved it. And when Jeanne Cooper started to break down, it just broke my heart. For a second, it was like the 80's again. I felt it in Thom's reaction, and I felt it in JC's delivery. Heart-breaking.

JC/Katherine was the best part of those scenes.

Adam and Patty are a lot of fun to watch, I have to admit. "Is that a cat? I can bring some chow" LMAO!!!!!!

That was hilarious! LOL I'm loving their scenes. I always like it when bad guys join forces - kinda like Batman villains.

Did I miss Philip telling Nina he was gay? Or was that today? Or was that last week during the Michael Jackson memorial scheduling? Because everybody talks about Nina's reaction and her head-roll, and I totally missed that.

I also missed Phyllis smacking Heather. Darn.

He told Nina last week (I think it was Wednesday?). He told Jill and Katherine today.

I hope those spoilers are only for Monday's US episode and not spoilers further down the line. ;)

They were, which is why I've now removed mine!! Trying to be good.

The amount of chemistry Stacy Haiduk has with the other actors -- and Miss Kitty -- is crazy. Seriously, Michael Muhney's Adam came properly alive in his scenes with her last week. It was like a meeting of the minds. Psychotic soulmates! There is romantic chem there but quite honestly MJ needs a love interest like JT first (another character she clicked with after two lines of dialogue) and Adam is already banging enough people as it is. I'd rather they made these two the most twisted of best friends. Right before they rehabilitate the character of Patty Jane, of course. :)

Of course if Adam gets Patty pregnant to prove his virility and manipulate her, Victor might feel obligated to help her rather than destoy her. Then she can be healed by the love of her baby or NOT, but that may be the way to keep MJ on longer. I still see no future for both. Adam is either going to pin everything on MJ or MJ will become another victim of Adam. But someone will have to pay for their actions.

I just wish once Nikki would rub Victor's face in bringing MJ and Adam into their lives, but I know she won't because Nikki is forgiving. I do expect Victor to feel guilt for bringing these crazies into their lives, especially MJ/Patty but how much guilt who knows.

I loved Kay today. She spoke for me about Philip. He is a coward and bringing Cane into their lives meant just more pain and makes no sense. I hope Philip IV will be just as resentful. I don't get how they are writing Philip or Thom Bierdz's acting choices. He is showing very little regret and is putting so much of what he did at the feet of Jill, Katherine and Nina. That's not the way to get the audience on his side. But maybe that isn't the point of this story. Maybe this is really about bringing Philip IV on the show in a way that will make him a full blood Chancellor and give him a insta relationship with Kay and Jill where they will want to make up with him partially because of their failures with his father.

Ashley was interesting today. She seems to know there is no baby, but is afraid to admit it. I can't see her bonding with any baby if there is a switch because deep inside she knows it is all a lie. I never liked Ashley, but I sure feel bad for her. I would love her to stop being the victim and be the one to turn this around and end of trapping Adam.

Here's my theory based on the clues we've been getting: MJ likes to watch people having sex and then goes crazy. Today's show confirmed Kitty is male--HE sleeps a lot--and will be staying in the potting shed. Y&R is all about the gay storylines now.

So how long until MJ catches Zapato having his way with Kitty?

I can't wait for the MAB interview where she explains how interspecies necrophilia is a storyline that daytime's just been waiting to tell...

That's how I have seen Eileen playing it, like deep down Ashley knows, she's just waiting for Adam or Dr Taylor to cave and spill the beans.

I'm guessing with Nina, we're seeing the consequence of a recurring actress whose home is in Tennessee.

I'm with Toups, I love the device. It was a classic Bill Bell staple. Sheila always did that. Even characters on B&B talked to themselves when they were plotting and stuff. As a matter of fact I think they invented Kitty with the purpose of finding a way around this campy device.

And what is up with Phillip just randomly walking out on people? I know it's probably a metaphor for what he did twenty years ago, but it's really awkward to end these scenes with a smirk, dead silence, and then turning around and leaving without anybody saying anything. Somebody needs to seriously call him out on this crap, unless it's a directing choice - and if it is, it's a really bad one.

Thank you for saying this! I completely forgot in my first post. That smirk was absolutely embarrassing to watch. I wonder why they don't just stop this guy!

Today's show was absolutely hilarious - for all the right reasons! Adam getting Kitty some chow? Victor getting kicked out of the bedroom? Jill's reaction to Phillip - "GAY!?"....what a hoot and a holler.
