Yes, throughout the scenes and that final shot of her looking shocked... it was just :(

Jess could've easily gone way OTT but she knocked it outta the park.

It's the overkill that's killing the show. You can't "fix" two mistakes in the same family. Either unrelate Jill & Kay OR bring back P3 from the dead. Not both. It's turned the Chancellor family into a joke. What's next? Mac is really Nikki's daughter? Esther is Kay's daughter? It's all nonsense after a while. In hindsight unrelating Jill & Kay was a huge mistake. Just focus on one big rewrite -- P3 -- and that's more than enough set up for years of story. Also, the unrelating of Jill & Kay now mean that Cane & Billy stopped treating Kay like a grandmother, which is just silly. Mac & Billy, whether or not they cast a good actress as Mac or not, would have been much better if their love remained unrequited and if their being cousins stopped them from getting together.

Good writing is not about giving an audience what it wants, good writing is about making people want things.

Thom Bierdz reminds me of Ron Moss...

With 3 seconds of screen time, even Lawrence Olivier would have reminded us of Ronn Moss

Honey, I saw him in Monday's US episode....

True. Oh well, I'll try not to be too biased now. I want him to succeed in this part.

I agree with Alvin. Bierdz's acting sucks, it is really painful.

Mark, I think we'll be pleased. Toups said he was pretty good, so I'll take his assessment over someone who didn't watch closely enough to realize kitty was a taxidermy any day. Subtlety in acting just flies over some people's heads.

It's not my fault if you cannot accept that many others think Bierdz is a crap actor.

But I don't expect you to call him out on his bad acting either, since clearly you have a bias for this storyline and this actor. So go on, continue on with your agenda and personal attacks on other posters who think otherwise.

Subtlety in acting? LMFAO! Hilarious.

Bierdz is as subtle as a heart attack, as someone wise once said.

Subtlety in acting?

BTW, the cat was the best thing of the whole week!

Well.. we ALL love kitty, especially when she hide's Patty Jane's pills! And yes, subtlety. It's easy to see how fabu Tricia Cast is, because she's out there and in your face. For other actors, you have to pay close attention. I also think alot of the outpouring of love that Cast is getting is besides her good performances, her character is something this show has been sorely lacking for quite some time, a STRONG, INDEPENDENT woman, who isn't a victim, and doesn't let a man define her. And Phillip, on the other hand, doens't seem to be sorry at all for the horrendous thing he did, and the fans' hatred of that is spilling over into the review of the acting.

If it's anything, I thought Bierdz was horrible in Monday's episode, thankfully Cast and Walton were there to save that sh!t.

Without giving anything away, I hate how Bierdz is playing EVERYTHING the same way with the same expression. He's also acting in a condescending tone, like Jill, Nina, and Katherine are a bunch of idiots that don't deserve the be in his presence, yet we're supposed to believe that according to Phillip III he loved his family, so that's why he sent Cane for them? Not feeling Bierdz AT ALL, I think he thinks he's doing some type of comedy. Even when he claims he's did all of this to save them any trouble, it feels like he's rolling his eyes the entire time.

It's one thing to be green and uncomfortable 20 years ago, it's another thing to be even worse 20 years after. I know he hasn't been acting much, but he couldn't spare at least one acting class when he knew this was a big storyline and that he would have to bring it with Cast, Cooper, and Walton?

But, since he admitted that he wasn't interested in acting when he returned recently and it appears he's more dedicated now, we'll have to see if there's a noticeable change in his acting down the line.

I, of course, had major problems with the scenes in Monday's US episode, I will of course post in detail about them on Monday. I know you're all dying to hear it! :)

Where is Monday's episode online?

Also, Sylph, that joke would've worked if you hadn't listed how you liked EH, amongst other aspects of this week you liked this morning LOL.

Keep telling yourself that and keep trying to speak for other people...
