Morrow and Case were good in their last scenes today and that's about all that I loved about this epi, oh and I loved Victor and MaryJane. God I swear I don't hate the girl I don't know her but man is CK/Lily the obvious worst thing in this Phillip story (even more than the other flaws of it). DG was acting better in many scenes with TC before today. I agree with who-ever says that Victor is obviously spelling out TPTBs take on the characters of Jeffrey and Jill. Telling Jill she is close to Katherine for the purpose of keeping status (the dynamic is much more complicated than that) and telling Jeffrey to go back where he came from (he may have hit the nail on the head here)

Oh Lily was quite the dumb bitch today. I wanted Nina to smack her into next week. The little brat came across like such a twit. She has NO clue. I loved Nina's line to her about not having the best track record when it came to knowing when she's being conned

Jill working as a manicurist is dumb as hell. As if she would EVER go back to doing that after being rich and powerful for all these decades. She has way too much pride and dignity for that

The economy is tough all over. Why can't it just be that Jill can't get a job because of the lousy economy? Why does it have be that the lost that special glow Kay's proximity bestowed upon her?

Why doesn't Jill sell one of the vases in the mansion to the pawnshop guy! She could replace it with a knock-off and no one would be the wiser. :)

Isn't half that stuff hers anyway? Doesn't she have a ring or two (or 20) worth more than most of us make in a year? What about all the jewelry John bought her?

Why is Gloria the only one smart enough to be afraid of Victor?

    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.

      look who’s at a party I’m at
    • Yes. We should absolutely move on from John/Drake's 40 year legacy on the show to see what Leo is going to do tomorrow.  Lol.  This can't be a serious post.

I came in with a dream and left with a purpose. From lecture halls to rehearsals, community work to creative sets, every moment shaped me. I’m so proud of the stories I’ve told here — and the ones still unfolding. Grateful to everyone who poured into me, supported me, challenged me, and believed in me. Fours up and peace out! #UCLA #ClassOf2025 #BlackBruinExcellence #YearbookVideo @jordanward
    • The actor who plays Martin has been teasing that nobody has guessed Martin's secret. I love that for things like that and the June story we have no idea. I feel like if we didn't have the day ahead feeds Anita's reveal would've been shocking as well. I love that they aren't going the obvious route with these stories.
    • I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
    • That's a bit murky since that happened during a writers' strike. Assuming Kristen Marie had a 2-year contract she left about when her contract would have expired and Sharlene and Josie showed up right before that. Lemay was officially credited as HW from September 1988 but it seems very probable that his anticipated tenure influenced events that happened during the strike which started in April.
    • I've seen so many posters over the years who are bright, creative, well-versed in soap history, and who care deeply about the integrity of the genre. I'd put the shows' chances in their hands a lot faster than I would allow any of the "usual suspects" to take control of the dramas they've already helped decimate. When I returned to university in the 1980s, I created a bible for a new soap and presented it in my screenwriting class. It was in reaction to how badly I saw the network shows being butchered at the time. The creative process was thrilling; a total joy, and I still smile when I remember the positive feedback I received from the professor and my fellow students. I was used to seeing written commentary from professors on my work. This one wrote me a long, complimentary note on the final page of the bible, but also graded it 97%, A+. I was beaming ear to ear for days!
