My least favorite has to be that gloved hand blackmailer/peeping tom/ rapist/he's really Julian and Eve's shemale son storyline. Granded at first Vincent was a little creepy/scary when he was blackmailing Theresa, I could not sit through Fancy getting repeatedly raped and everyone just putting her back in her unsafe room. And then he raped Luis too and used to condom to get Luis's sperm into her. Gross! And then Vincent's obsession with Ethan as he walked around in that creepy mask. It was all too much.

I agree that the androgynous rapist story was a real low point. It was supposed to be campy; instead, it came off twisted, nasty, and sick. Nobody enjoyed that storyline. And the actor who played the character was pretty lousy too.

I think my favorite was Ivy chasing after Sam (often in her motorized scooter). I think Ivy/Sam had the best dynamic out of all the other over wrought long lost loves like Eve/Julian, Kay/Miguel, Ethan/Teresa and Sheridan/Luis. The dynamic of this rich, elitist, pampered bitch on the outs fighting for a married, average joe was fun to watch. Kim Johnston-Ulrich was fantastic in the role. She was one of the few on the show to be campy in the right places, while giving dramatic heft to the more serious stuff.

I think I am alone in liking Heidi Mueller as the final Kay. She gets a bad rap because of her reality show past, but I think she vastly improved over time.

I remember that Julian's dick nonsense it was stupid. Passions reached new levels of bad on Direct TV . Eve and Julian spent most of their time boozing and popping pills, Vincent kept telling Drunk/High Eve that she was doing the surgery right(he was the only one in the room with her) and at the finale Kay fixed it magically.

I also hated Esme and hated that they made her a contract character during Direct TV. She was one of those campy character that should've been restricted to visits only. Ug hand then she slept with Julian after sleepnig with Fox and bragged about it to Fancy.

I wasn't a fan of the Vincent raping people, but I did love him giving birth and cutting off Julian's penis and it being reattached upside down. I thought it was hilarious. I loved it so much I even made edits and put in on youtube, but sadly my channel got shut down. I still have those edits, so I might reupload them in the future.

I loved Esme! She was so funny.

    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.
