The writing is very, very organic. It is how it should be. Very few stuff is forced these days in Genoa City. It all develops at its own pace, and its nice the writing rewards viewers with slight references to recent story points that the casual viewer would never pick up on.

Is Victor even capable of loving any woman? He owns them. He never respects them as equals. Just as he gives, he taketh away. Yeah, he's God in his head. God of the universe.

I think Nick is capable of loving a woman in the right way. He definitely hasn't exhibited that recently, and perhaps has never, but he will be. Cassie's death, I think, is finally behind him. He'll be able to love someone eventually, whether it's Phyllis or Sharon, who knows.

But I hope to God-- oops, I mean, Victor-- it's not Amber or Heather. <_<

If I make a bad suggestion, I'd say Chloe. :lol:

I hate when women even soap ones are called whores. Even if she slept with all the males in GC, Sharon is not a whore. Promiscuity is not a crime. In this particular situation, Sharon is sick. She is in the middle of mental breakdown. She is acting compulsively and having blackouts. She needs mental help treatment. I'm with Josh Marrow on this one. What the hell is the compassion for Sharon?

That is a GREAT interview. So good, in fact, that I think I may be coming around to Mark's view of Joshua Morrow as an underrated actor. It is clear he puts a lot of thought into his performances, without bigging himself up as some Great Thespian.

LOL at his line "My role on the show is clearly defined. I show up, I generally take my shirt off and say my lines."

He is also quite honest and direct re: Sharon Case and his wife and GL and the state of Daytime. Refreshing.

Sharon gets no compassion from me. None at all.

Nor does Phyliss.

And no, there is nothing wrong with being a whore. and most of the time i love the whores and sluts of daytime. But Sharon is a whore who tries to act all innocent and pure. When she isnt. The reason she gets no compassion from me is this... From the moment i started Y&R i have seen Sharon be nothing more than needy and desperate. And not in a compelling soapy kind of way. I fond nothing about her thats rootable.

I hate her. HATE her.

That said, for the first time ever Sharon case is a believable actress with this storyline and i am LOVING it.

I hate that word, too. I only use it in conjunction with Jill's beautiful hair in the 80s and 90s -- the Whore Hair. And I totally mean it as a compliment!

And ITA about Sharon having a mental breakdown. All this cackling with glee over Sharon having slept with Billy AND Nick. Have any of you checked out B&B?! Or ABC with its numerous SLs built around "grief sex"? It is clear that Sharon is going through severe mental distress. Half the time she is already blind-drunk. The sex is like a painkiller addiction -- a means to block out pain, whether perceived or real.

ITA! I can't stand the way Nick is going back and forth between and two but at least he isn't like his father.

Just an observation, Kevin Schmidt is such a great young actor, a natural. I really felt sorry for Noah today and Victor is so incapable of compassion!

I think that has more to do with bias... Sharon lovers defend her, Sharon haters call her all the names in the book. Personally, I am not taking either Phyllis, or Sharon's side... I think they're both fucked up, in their own different ways, and that's why I enjoy them so much. Sharon Case has been doing an amazing job, and Sharon as a character is really compelling. Self-medicating with sex... just amazing. :lol:

      Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.

      Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

      I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

      Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2.       This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

      In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982.       Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
