OMG ALL of the CBS soaps even did better than AMC LOL. GL even deserves better ratings than AMC.

You reap what you sew AMC, you reap what you sew.

Haha - and where were you the last two weeks when AMC had increased ratings and was the #1 ABC soap?

Zendall (mostly Zach) is a disease for AMC. Viewers don't want to see him act like an arrogant God who physically and mentally abuses women.

I don't think quality of a soap is why people tune in. They tune in when they have the time, as we can observe during snow storms, and some weeks they watch more than than others.

1. Y&R 5,093,000 (-302,000/-156,000)

2. B&B 3,530,000 (+27,000/-330,000)

3. GH 2,747,000 (+62,000/-119,000)

4. DAYS 2,698,000 (-216,000/+54,000)

OK, so i only ever really look at the HH numbers, but i was wondering what these numbers are exactly? Like the first number, is that the number of viewers they are up or down compared to last week? and the second is to last year?

Like DAYS, it would be that they are UP 54,000 from last year? And thats good right? But they are down 216,000 from last week?

Yes, that is the correct interpretation of the numbers.

To work and school since it wasn't snowing ;)

ETA:

Damn, that has to be DAYS lowest viewer count in months. Just checked that, lowest viewer count since the week of 11/17. Boy do things turn in a week, GH not only #1 for ABC again but all of a sudden a lone wolf third. The middle 4 soaps are all getting 2.6 million, boring, same as last week. More and more, the middle 4 are usually just seperated by 50-100 thousand, very interchangeable right now.

But then they crapped out in the demos. What's up with that?

GH may be the number one show on ABC, but not by much. And OLTL's 7 share is higher than GH's 6, which means more of the available viewing audience chooses to watch OLTL when it's on than choose to watch GH when it airs.

3/9 was a big OLTL week (that HBS rocked) - the aftermath of Blair's stabbing and the kids accidents while GH I don't think had anything stand out. It'll be interesting to see where the ABC soaps fall in a lull week like this one. One more week and we'll know.

I was looking at DAYS number and the second week of March is almost always bad for them, I wonder why that is.

Correct.

Did you see my post above. My prediction that AMC would get a 1.9 or 1.8. Way too go Pratt. Just keep them viewers comin in.

Could it be because many universities and colleges hold spring break during that week?

If that's indeed when spring break falls, possibly.

DAYS is still up from last year, when they had the salaries of Hall, Hogestyn, SN, and MBE to deal with. One slow week won't hurt the show

GH cannot be pleased with the consistently declining 18 to 49 women demo. These women have been tuning out for the last few months. I expect yet another mob war soon enough.

I disagree about OLTL. I saw it today and wasnt impressed at all. Some characters I had no idea who they were. The show is still a mess and the ratings reflect it.

IA. Ive been very tempted to drop OLTL many times over the past couple of weeks
