Members dragonflies
D'oh I read the numbers wrong, not 18,000 difference, 358,000 LOL I bet if GL aired in ALL markets and didn't air at weird times in some, it'd probably be ahead of AMC
Members BlueLick
A couple of good weeks isn't going to raise OLTL's ratings. Its going to take a consistency of months for them to really go up. This is the best OLTL has been in years but they've got to be good like this for the long-term and not just sweeps. Look at GL, it took them a couple of months to finally reach a 1.9 and now their super close to 7th place and dethroning AMC to last place. GL was way good during its rare short three day week so I expect the same amount of viewers next week. Ryan hooking up with Kendall was a super bad idea and that may finally get AMC into 8th place. GH is so out of touch with its fanbase that its been going through a mad identity crisis. A 1.3 in the main demo is not good during sweeps especially since I bet advertisers want a 1.4 or 1.5 out of them. DAYS is one I can't explain as the show actually went through its first bad week in months but I have no doubt will college spring break going on this past week that it'll go back up. By the dailies it looks to not be doing as bad as I thought. Still doing better than other soaps. DAYS, OLTL, and AMC are all on the plus side year to year which is a positive sign that they haven't free falled and a re showing mad improvements but AMC doesn't seem to have really shaken anything with a positive on it. The other soaps are all down year to year, of course that's bad but I believe for most of those soaps you're going to start seeing plus signs b/c the soaps were really struggling back in 2008 around the late spring and summer time. Without last Monday's bump, the soaps are actually looking a little better than last week on the dailies. Y&R has hit a rock and has cooled off. Members Y&RWorldTurner
What happened to the CBS soaps on Thursday!? Y&R, B&B, and ATWT all went down noticibly.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
Friday was another bad day for the soaps, I guess people don't tune in for the latter parts of the week, but that's not a new trend.
Members BlueLick
I think its the network's responsibility to start promoting Fridays. That's cliffhanger Friday and should be the second most viewed day of the week for soaps behind Monday for the fallout on what happened on Friday. Until they do that then the Friday ratings will continue to drag.

Members NYC123
FYI the people who thought GL was close to AMC you guys are TOTALLY WRONG. GL has 2.2 viewers. AMC has 2.6 viewers. WTF?! are you seeing... Anyways IMO even though AMC went down it still has shown improvements from last year which is hard to find now a days. Members Dan
Interesting... Whenever Y&R usually does terribly in the weekly ratings, it does tend to have some negative effect on the ratings of the succeeding three CBS shows. This week was different. So what happened at that time? Preemptions possibly?

Members MJM
There were preemptions on Thursday and Friday in parts of the South for the ACC Regional Tournament. But that would affect the entire CBS line-up.
Members tanyia2
In my part of the country the CBS soaps were moved to another channel while the basketball games were being played on the regular CBS stations. I guess many people did not know that the CBS soaps were on another channel.
Members JONNYSBRO
GL did well there numbers went up and guess what has happened. Grant's return was everything CBS wanted and but Otalia is killing him. The Otalia groundswell has drawn up major buzz for GL. Jessica/Crystal are getting tons of mail and the fans are definitely attached to this storyline. I honestly believe Jessica Leccia is a breakout star for daytime. She is gorgeous and she has a star quality and Crystal has never been better. Grant was supposed to be the huge buzz but Otalia is overshadowing it. OLTL is the only soap to have increased from last year.
