March 16, 200916 yr Member http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/soaps/exclu...w-liza-310.html Exclusive: Jamie Luner is All My Children's New Liza by Michael Logan March 16, 2009 05:02 PM EST She’s 200 kinds o’ crazy, and she’s heading back to Pine Valley! Former Melrose Place sensation Jamie Luner has been cast as the new Liza Colby on All My Children and will hit the air by late April/early May. The notorious man-snatching trouble-maker — played for many years by suds icon Marcy Walker — has “reinvented herself as an attorney and will come back to town to reclaim her daughter Colby [brianne Moncreif],” exec producer Julie Hanan Carruthers tells TV Guide Magazine. “We also find out Liza is secretly working for someone in Pine Valley.” Look for more scoop from Carruthers and an exclusive interview with Luner in an upcoming issue of TV Guide Magazine.
March 16, 200916 yr Member Ummmmm... really? Marcy Walker ... Jamie Luner Really? Good actress, not so sure on the character choice.
March 16, 200916 yr Author Member Yeah, what a horrible choice for a role like Liza. But I guess Pratt plans on reinventing the character, which sucks for longtime fans of the character, especially Marcy Walker fans.
March 16, 200916 yr Member Thank GOD it's not Skye. (Robin Christopher or nobo It's kind of ironic that Liza was recast unsuccessfully back in 1984 with Alice Haining, who has much more in common looks-wise with Luner than she did with Walker. I do know Pratt, though, I just had the character wrong. Two months ago I said he'd pick his old friend Luner or Laura Leighton to play Skye; instead, he just picked her for Liza, instead. ETA: Someone just said Pratt did want her for Skye, but somebody nixed it. Edited March 16, 200916 yr by Carolyn1980
March 16, 200916 yr Member Liza? WOW... She and Brianne look like sisters, not like mother-daughter...Recast Colby , please....
March 16, 200916 yr Member Wow! She's a worse choice for this than she was for Skye! Let's recast the entire show with well-meaning but horribly miscast Aaron Spelling people! Starring Josie Bissett as Dixie! Laura Leighton as a too young Skye (yes she is too young)! Josie Davis as Kelsey, who is now apparently a hardened cocktail waitress! That superstar in the making Angel Boris as Anita, whose face in no way resembles the grille of a mack truck! Edited March 16, 200916 yr by Vee
March 16, 200916 yr Member She's about 10 years younger then Marcy Walker, but she looks older then 37 to me in the more recent pictures people have posted. Seeing her against Michael Knight will be really weird though considering their characters are supposed to be close in age.

I actually loved Jamie Luner on MP. I just know what she's good at.

But don't give TPTB any more ideas.
March 16, 200916 yr Member No way is Laura Leighton too young for Skye, lol. (She and RC are 3 years apart). But don't give TPTB any more ideas. She comes off much younger. She's just perpetually fresh-faced and peppy. Lovely actress but not Skye.
March 16, 200916 yr Member She comes off much younger. She's just perpetually fresh-faced and peppy. Lovely actress but not Skye. I don't think she comes off younger so much as dumb/unsophisticated. But you're right, she'd be a lousy Skye.
March 16, 200916 yr Member The bigger surprise to me is this site. How is tvguidemagazine.com different from tvguide.com?? Logan never appears in tvguide.com, at least not anywhere near "real time"
