One thing about JER was he knew how to juggle 400 characters at once and made sure everyone had a story or situation to be looked in on. Even at the height of silliness, was the Island of dead people more important to the show that brain addled Shawn and Jan Spears? AZ as Nicole is fine, and was fine back when she was performing surgery on Chloe with infected scalpels three years ago, but this writer, a graduate of the ABC daytime school of writing, uses her too much. One thing I guess that is an upside to her being on every day and every segment is that they are forced to run through eventually every character on the show just to give her someone to constantly talk to. I patiently await the eventual day when Caroline blackmails Nicole when they inevitably run out of people to feature with her.

Like a famous old cartoon once said, "enough is too much!"
