I hope it dawns on someone this week that there will be DNA/fingerprint proof all over the chancellor estate to prove that Katherine isn't Marge. They can still have a lot of turmoil going on if she is declared mentally incompetent to manage her own estate and it remains divided up as it is.

^Zoe you are referring to reality, but in a soap opra world they have to drag shiz out. In real world, Jill would say "fingerprint the bitch" and we'd be done. in soap opera world, they just yell at each other and try to look into someone's soul in order to find the truth. LOL!

I don't mind as much cause I can't wait for Jill to have to eat her words. We know Nikki will come around sooner or later, but Jill is going to have to kiss Kay's ass for quite some time.

Or Michael might mention it - but again, it's up to Jill to provide access to the samples from the Chancellor home they need, and I could easily see her putting up a stink about granting that access. The best chance Michael has is getting Gloria and Kevin to reveal why they think Katherine's the real deal, since Katherine remembered things about both that Marge or anyone else would never know, but Gloria and Kevin may not be so willing.

Even if they did mention DNA- Jill would cry out the injustice of not giving her some peace and it would still come down to Jill's word over Katherine/Marge. I gave the DNA idea no further thought. Jill would like to grieve her mother in some peace and quiet.

Now if this were a "Marge-imposter" story and someone (family or friend) was desperate to believe it, I would think them ridiculous to not want to investigate DNA.

I'd sooner they at least acknowledge DNA and Jill fighting against them taking samples is a great idea. I can even see Jill being able to convince a Judge that Katherine died wearing the clothes and jewelry she left the house in. They could even have a throw back to history and reveal that Jill had a past dalliance/friendship with the judge, just like Katherine did when she had her judge friend overturn Jill's marriage to Phillip.

Since almost everyone doesn't doubt that Kay is Marge they don't seem to interested in any DNA tests to prove one way or another. Also only Kay and Murphy know that both Kay and Marge were in the car that went off the road.

You aren't the only one who's sick of Phyllis, and it's not the fun kinda sick either.....

I love a desperate Phyllis, but she is being written far to one note in her desperation...... and Michelle seems to be phoning it in..... maybe it will pick up once Phick presumably does seperate, but so far I am underwhelmed.

    • I can't speak for all of Ryan's Hope, but I tried to watch it recently, and I found it difficult to get into. The overacting from some of the supporting/bit players was just too much. The show is not as fresh and vibrant as Edge of Night. I have Lisanti's book and wanted to watch some of the show before reading it, but the show is dated compared to other shows (Doctors and EON for ex.) that I found much more watchable and fresh. Perhaps, RH was more of its time than the other two. I don't know why I find RH so hard to watch.
    • From that time period, the one thing that was played for laughs, that stands out to me the most, was Cecile and Kathleen's pie fight, while that French can-can music played.
    • IKR! Tanya Turner, at one point, was EVERYTHING.
    • I can see both sides here. I don't believe that everything in that period was intended as comedy, but I think John Considine played the part in a very mustache-twirling way, as did Marcus Smythe as Peter until near the end, and that did come across as the material not being taken seriously. And I think the same is true of some of the treatment of other stories. The Sin Stalker, for instance, has that incredibly batshit material with Crystal Gayle being attacked. It's pure WTF, and something that, if done in more recent decades, would probably end up having the part played by a Drag Race queen or a Real Housewife.  The main takeaway I have from that period is how little those running the show cared. There's just a callousness. And that leads to a real cynicism onscreen.
    • I think too many of Mary's storylines were absolutely depressing. A lot of that  though was mitigated by her relationship with Scott, Cheryl, Ada and other characters though. I'm one of the few who preferred Mary with Reginald and wish that they had made Reginald less of a villain and made the Reginald/Mary/Vince triangle more of a battle and less a foregone conclusion. Mary choosing Reginald had much more storyline possibilities. What if what if what if...
    • Thank you for the info about SFT related to EON. I thought about adding SFT to my watch list, but I don't know if it's the kind of soap for me. I know very little about it except for a few of the actors and that it was on two different networks. I also know based on this board or somewhere else that the two Lizas both died young from cancer. Warms my heart to see so many EON people on SFT because they are such good performers and I wish they had been moved to other shows. Perhaps, they were and I'm just not aware of it.
    • There was a few times when Silk Press Sheila came into her apartment after going grocery shopping.. she could have been unloading her items as she talked to Eva or Ted and saw a few of the products on the counter that are P & G products.
    • I enjoyed today's show. I liked seeing Mona again and her confronting both Eva and Leslie. I did feel for Eva, especially at the end of their confrontation, when Mona said "Good", when Eva mentioning losing everybody she cared about. Though, I can understand Mona's anger and Leslie deserved every bit of her ire. Both Leslie/Eva betrayed her especially Leslie. Mona put her both her professional and personal relationships with the Duprees on the line and what Leslie/Eva did put her in an awkward position. Speaking of Leslie she continues to act trifling and caring only about herself and her needs. At this point, it only seems like she cares about herself and wanting Ted for herself. I'm not even sure how if her feelings for Mona were ever sincere, though she called out about people turning against her after Mona left. I have yet to see Leslie really display that she sincerely cares about anyone, and I do think that needs to change at some point. I enjoyed Nicole and her scenes today with Leslie/her children. I also like that Martin took a more sensible approach regarding how the family should handle Eva. He did straight up acknowledge she was his sister, and it seemed like he was opened to up to accepting her. I think he will be among the first in the family to soften towards/accept her. And in spite of the way she was introduced into their lives, he will end up being happy to have two little sisters. I wonder again about Kat/Eva being twins/Eva being Nicole, when Martin/Kat brought up them being the same age and Kat even used the word "twins" in disbelief, when Martin suggested they shared a connection from the beginning.
