Members GMac
This guy is fuckin scary. He's said he doesn't believe in sanctions, denies climate change and stands opposed regulatory agencies. The icing on the cake, he has zero experience. SoS is a role for a seasoned diplomat, not a rich oil executive. I mean, what the total [!@#$%^&*] is this?? If there's a plus side to him, looks like he's LGBT friendly (at least a little) and has supported Common Core in the past. DJT has loaded his cabinet with rich white guys. I haven't done any comparisons, but this has got to be the whitest administration in what? 50 years? And most probably the wealthiest one ever. These people are gonna do a number on this country. That's fo sho.
Members GMac
Honestly, y'all. The last few days of news has me feeling more and more hopeless. Dylann Roof's trial, the Walter Scott mistrial, the Trump transition, the "heartbeat" bill, fake news, Russia, white supremacists. Its all all so depressing
Members Roman
Well, I do agree with you, but I personally won't and can't lose hope. I honestly believe we'll be ok. I do.
Members ReddFoxx
The one silver lining of this whole mess is that Democrats chances of winning control of Congress in 2018 will be improved. The more negativity that comes out, the better higher Democratic chances go up. Midterms are horrible for the party in control.
Members GMac
Usually, yes. Reports that Trump supporters don't believe or trust the "liberal media" might undo that theory. Will the MSM will grow a pair when it comes to calling out Trump on his bullshit is another thing that will need to happen. I just don't know if historical trends will hold with the Orange Menace in the WH.

Members Juliajms
And the sad thing is if the US does get nuked, it will probably be the end of human life on our planet. Trump may not know what the nuclear triad is, but his cadre of generals do. At least most of us in the US (except victims of voter suppression) had some voice in who became president, the rest of the world didn't.

Members DramatistDreamer
China just referred to Trump as 'ignorant' as a child but these Trumpkins can continue to delude themselves in the belief that Trump will usher in a 'new era of respect for the U.S.' Please register in order to view this content Trump should really stick to defending his patron, Russia or Vlad will get mad.
Members GMac
And come to find out (surprised - NOT) that Trump and that alt-right rag that Bannon hails from, called President Obama out for not getting intelligence briefings (he was). http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-once-wrongly-criticized-obama-not-attending-intel-briefings-n694631 Trump is a pathological liar, yet he was able to cast Hillary as the dishonest one. Thanks, MSM. And another happy report from Trumpville. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/intelligence-agencies-distressed-trump-s-rejection-findings-russia-n694686 What in the total hell are we in for, yall...
Members JaneAusten
I don't know what to say if the stories about the White House actually knowing about Russian intervention in our election back in August working to get Trump elected, told the GOP house and GOP senate leadership, and was told they would make it a partisan issue if it was disclosed this close to an election. If true how could the President allow himself to be blackmailed in this way. .And how on earth can people like Ryan and McConnell look in the mirror in the morning. If true these are impeachable offenses against not only a sitting president but also the senate and house leadership. it's entirely possible Putin has honey trapped some members of our government and no doubt incoming cabinet and advisory personnel. It all makes me sick to my stomach to even have doubts. Edited December 12, 2016 by JaneAusten
Members DRW50
We saw a few years ago how alluring he is to many in the media and on the right (and on the far left as well) - he's all about image and power and wealth. He's also seemingly willingly to put some of that around. What I don't know if they realize is just how ruthless he is, as some of his friends were later bankrupted by him, if I remember correctly. Really he is the ultimate fantasy symbol for many middle-aged men - he can do whatever he wants to whoever he wants. Voice of America is now going to just be a propaganda organ. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/donald-trump-voice-of-america-232442 Meanwhile, McConnell is out having a swank meal with the First Lady: http://www.politico.com/tipsheets/playbook/2016/12/dnc-preps-for-mass-resignations-frank-foer-to-the-atlantic-joe-nocera-to-bloomberg-mcconnell-and-elaine-chao-dine-with-ivanka-playbook-cocktails-with-spicer-bday-jesse-ferguson-217804 And an article on just how nutty this McFarland woman is. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/kt-mcfarland-deputy-national-security-advisor-232388
Members NothinButAttitude
Trump nuts are idiots. How do we have any respect when a political party of ours whored itself out to a foreign power (and enemy) to secure an election? This has basically left us all vulnerable to Russia, who will hack again as the GOP gave them the OK to do so.
Members DramatistDreamer
@JaneAusten Well, according to what I've read the evidence presented was presented as all circumstancial but has since been shown to be an abundance of circumstancial evidence. Circumstancial evidence, even on its face, has never been easy to make a case for. Perhaps this diminished the White House's ability to take it any further than they did. The disturbing fact remains that too many voters were willing to dismiss the abundance of lies spewing out of Trump's mouth and hold their nose and vote for him. Many Democrats, for various reasons, wanted/needed a pure, unsullied candidate, they didn't get one and so they voted (or not) in kind. Just over the weekend, DJT was bragging and thanking the Black voters who stayed at home because to him, it was just as good as voting for him. Now Black women voted 94% for Hillary but among Black men, Trump got a higher percentage of their votes than Romney, which is still low but surprising, nonetheless- which tells me personally, that patriarchy did indeed have a lot to do with people's choice in the voting booth. Men and Women of all ethnicities can end up promoting patriarchy and sexism. It existed during the Civil Rights movement, the Black Power movement as well as the Anti-War movement, even with all their good intentions. Had people really gone by the actual evidence, and not been willing to believe lies and prejudices, we'd have an utterly different outcome today.
